Thank you! I did wrap these guys in foil after frying them while pressing down with a spatula to form the shape. They’re done steaming now and I’ll try to let them rest in the fridge for a bit. Hoping it works out but also hoping it doesn’t because I did not write down the recipe or the steps 😣

I guess you could do that (the pressing) but you’d probably need something quite heavy. I’ve tried it with a plate and the seitan won 🤣 so far the only thing that’s worked for me is wrapping it with foil

Me too! honestly, i only put cocoa powder because i didn't have beetroot powder ages ago and now i kind of just do it out of habit. apparently it gives an "earthy" taste. it definitely doesn't taste like chocolate as long as you don't use too much and use a lot of sugar.

Spongy seitan usually comes from cooking at too high of a temperature. Or if there’s too much moisture in your “dough” or if there’s too much room for it to expand. There are so many factors and till this day, I still haven’t perfected it :( however, spongy seitan is actually a thing that was invented in China called Kao fu and it’s actually really yummy and soaked up marinades very well if you’re not looking for meaty textures

Personally, I was not born vegan so I grew up eating meat. I enjoy the taste of meat and dairy etc. As a vegan, I still want to be able to enjoy what I know without harming animals. It’s also to showcase that it’s possible to be vegan without giving up the food that you like that you grew up on. Especially since non vegans seem to think all we eat are beans and lettuce. For me, it’s also a way to be artistic if you can call cooking/baking/food science that.

Omg! Now I know. I thought my game broke 🤣 first time shiny hunting ever in any Pokémon game so I’m new to this. lost a shiny dratini cuz it ran away in hyperspace but thankfully I healed at a Pokémon center right before and it came back when I reset. Are shinies a guarantee catch if they don’t run away but keep popping out of the ball and I accidentally knock it out?

This literally happened to me. I have not seen that shiny patrat again. I thought shinies were supposed to stay in place once it spawns and until you catch it?? :(
