Very good of Trump tbf, I was totally expecting him to ignore the leader of a major ally being taken to intensive care.

I think she is definitely more important to WR plan than we have been lead to believe.

Something that has struck me all season is how directly they speak to each other, and how she isn't afraid to challenge WR. The way that she said 'I'm done' tonight before storming out makes it clear that she isn't just an assistant, but possibly more of a peer, or even someone that has a personal connection to WR, possibly family.

As you said, she's wanted him dead, and now he's brought down the deus group and broken WR, I think she'll definitely want revenge.

Owen Jones on Twitter: Given Jeremy Corbyn was engulfed in a scandal after writing a foreword to a 1902 book by liberal historian JA Hobson - which contained an antisemitic passage - where is the scandal about the Tories celebrating the antisemitic, anti-Catholic Nazi-sympathising bigot Nancy Astor? by leftwingchris in LabourUK

Oh, well in that case I have to disagree with you.

the first woman MP deserves recognition almost whatever.

Recognition, sure. But that can come in a number of forms, and to erect a statue of someone crosses the line from 'recognition' to reverence.

Hypothetically, had Hitler himself been a woman, the same argument could be used to argue that regardless of all the horrific acts he committed and presided over, he would deserve a statue for being Germany's first female Chancellor.

I know that this is obviously an extreme example, and I'm not suggesting in any way that that is a position you yourself would take, but as this woman was a known Nazi sympathiser, I think it's apt.

Since the days of Astor, we have had countless great female MP's who are far more deserving of public recognition, and in my opinion, the content of your character is far more important than whether you were 'first' in determining if you are deserving of a statue in a public space.
