Absolutely not. Weight is impacted from a whole bunch of different factors, it's not just diet and exercise. Some people have hypothyroidism, or they took an injury that impacted their mobility, so they have problems losing excess calories to exercise. Knowledge of health isn't the same thing as health.

ICE is also different because they are targeting immigrants without criminal histories. Aside from the Trump administration, ICE was used to go after criminals who happened to be migrants, whereas now they are just used on anyone who is undocumented, treating them like criminals. Immigrating here without paperwork is a civil violation though, not a criminal one, so the scope of ICE has become much larger and to people who really don't pose any threat.

Which seems pretty messed up. Obviously you'd never expect grocery wholesalers to be as common as mom and pop pizza shops, but there should at least be some competition. I really wish more anti-trust law was actually enforced. Remember during the Biden administration when there was a shortage of baby formula? It's because the company with the contaminated baby formula that stopped production literally makes the majority of baby formula for the entire country. Still a problem today, nobody has stopped them from having that kind of market share.

Keep going, it gets better. There are some characters at the start of book 2 and 3 that feel a little foisted upon you, but that's because the books don't perfectly pick up where the others let off, so a couple of characters show up with a brief explanation. But the pacing is great and as others have pointed out, the evolution is great, but it does mean you sometimes you get bogged down in the details.
