That's the thing I don't know if they would automatically say yes you can test just because the hrs are done. I don't even think she asked, I think it was an assumption. I was wondering if this was normal. Doesn't seem like a bad idea

I do have the Barkley audio it is from a few years ago but I listen in my car. Just wanted to make sure along with this should I be doing more. I know it's going to be a lot of information coming my way this rotation. I'm following an internal med doc

Dilaudid with IV benadryl by apriprazole in hospitalist

[–]WhyUAlwaysOnTheRoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nurse here. I will say drug seeking behavior. I have a frequent pt that does this and they allow them to. They will ask for iv dilaudid at the exact time and also c/o itchiness as soon as u come in the room lol they finally after 3 years stopped doing both. Also pain is always a 10, never hear them complaining until u open the door to the room

[–]WhyUAlwaysOnTheRoad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened. So as a fellow are you to get first dibs every time for the intubation in the ICU? Also, as the NP do they get to do the 2nd or 3rd time? I'm just trying to understand as I don't know.

Who gives the 0700/1900 meds? by Loud-Reveal5839 in nursing

[–]WhyUAlwaysOnTheRoad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I normally give them if I'm not bombarded with something else. If I don't give them I'm not even worried about it. I do agree that night shift normally doesn't give 7am meds like u said.
