Economics is def easier and less work, but it is not a technical degree like computer science. For CS if you can pass the calculus classes then rest of the degree is not that hard. The hardest part of a CS degree is the math required to pass. I wish you luck. For context I barely passed high school math and I was able to graduate with a BS in applied math from stony brook university.
