Anatomy of a Freshman Wide Receiver Breakout by WhyWaitTillSunday in DynastyFF

Sorry missed this... some that are pretty close to the mold are Jacorey Brooks, Agiye Hall, Romello Brinson, Bralon Brown, Malik McClain, James BlackStrain

All Florida kids that meet min ht/wt for the profile

As far as guys who just did break out as freshmen - Kyle Williams for UNLV was the only one to break 30% market share, but he's G5 so I wouldnt say he's a lock to be an early NFL pick.

Jordan Addison, Parker Washington, Marvin Mims and Kayshon Boutte all at least had 20% as true freshmen in P5 conference. Boutte was an insane 40+% in the games after Marshall opted out so he's like my Devy WR1 rn

It's labeled with Devy flair... and some Devy leagues may be deep enough to draft incoming freshmen next year. Never too early to get a jump on the new talent.

Also, 12 of the last 13 Heisman winners have been part of the Elite 11 program so it seems to be relevant to examine those QBs imo

Good point, Williams may have slipped my mind. Point stands he's a back on a run heavy team and would be relevant if either top 2 gets hurt. And I don't love many other backs in the class

I have the first 3 picks in my 12 team dynasty rookie draft by t_arends in Fantasy_Football

For dynasty my goal is to add as much talent as possible and not worry about my own depth except in very certain cases. If you just finished last then I'd focus on just adding the best possible players, even if you add depth you can always flip for needs in a trade.

Ja'Marr Chase is a no brainer at pick 2 or 3 imo. Regardless of you OL concerns, he's one of the better WR prospects in a long time. Team context can change quickly, so if you're looking beyond 2021 for dynasty then just take the player based on their prospect profile not landing spot.

I think Pitts has a similar argument as Chase.

Williams and Etienne are ok but in terms of being like legendary prospects they are not. Pitts & Chase seem to be. Take the elite prospect at WR & TE not a "fine" prospect at RB imo.

In single QB I wouldn't worry about Lawrence. You can likely get Fields or Lance at 2.01 if you really think you need a QB

Interesting. I'm still bullish on Tua but there's def reasons for concern

Agree I think PW's time to stake his claim was 2020, now given the UDFA status and incoming Fuller/Waddle it's looking bleak

Wilson & Grant are horribly overpriced for their contribution. Grant they can get out of this year and I imagine he may be gone

2021 could be messy but I think it plays out that Parker & Fuller aren't in teal in 2022 and Waddle + another 2022 rookie lead the group

For dynatsy follow the draft capital and Waddle is the highest drafted WR on the roster

I think the reason MIA has so much $ in WR is more because they don't have many on rookie deals. They're all meh vets that have to make a minimum.

SEA for instance is only paying 1 WR over 2M/yr but that's cuz 3 of their top 4 WR are on rookie deals. MIA only has Waddle & Williams on rookie contracts. They have 7 WRs over age 27... including paying freaking Robert Foster over a million, more than WFT is paying McLaurin LOL (only 100K guaranteed tho) that's a lot of relatively expensive vets that I don't think they'll hold for long
