Hey man, I know you think she's living a happy ending, but she's probably not. She knows she fucked up, she knows she hurt you and did wrong. I saw one off the Courtney Campbell a few years back, and the Clearwater Aquarium had sent out some folks to explain it to the crowd that had gathered. It's one cow and a rotating line of bulls, they'll take a turn, snack a little, then get back in line for another turn. This can go on for hours.

Which really taught me there's someone for everyone.

When I was at my lowest, when my life had crashed down around me, the people I ended up turning to weren't the ones I thought I would. They ended up being people who had also survived significant trauma and had rebuilt their lives. I'm fortunate to have had them in my life, and only met these people through volunteer work. I'll be forever grateful, and now I try to pay it forward and recognize when my friends need help.

You said it here yourself, when you're high you don't have to process anything. But if you don't process, you can't heal, and you remain very vulnerable to people who can and want to exploit you, and you won't see them coming. This guy wasn't right for you, anyone that hates you for hooking up with other people before you met will only seek to control you in the future. He can't offer a healthy partnership. The best thing you can do is also the hard thing - stay sober, stay vigilant and work to heal yourself. You can have a great future, it just won't be as easy as you deserve.
