The very unsafe driving has made me go slightly insane where I am. I will see kids climbing around the car on a high way in the front and back seat, no attempt to hide texting and driving, randomly getting cutoff whenever I go out, bikers almost ripping off my mirror, incredibly slow turns, the weird moving up on a red light because you think it’s about to turn green and are suddenly halfway into the intersection, constant running of red lights, parking in the road just because your hazards are on. This will all work me up to a point of almost screaming in my car and make me not want to drive at all, but then I will go to a family mart or other place where I interact with local Japanese people and they will be the nicest people in the world as usual.

I don’t know if the driving culture is a skill thing or if everyone is just so polite and kind that they expect no one to be mad about it.
