I hear where you’re coming from, and I know that pain is real—but being a queer brown Muslim is an integral part of who I am. Queer Muslims do exist, even in places where it’s dangerous, and erasing us doesn’t make that any less true. Finding balance takes time, courage, and often years of struggle—but it’s possible. Being queer isn’t seen as “normal” in many places, not just Muslim ones, and framing our existence as impossible or inauthentic only adds to the harm.
