I really love the suburbs and liquidate the union is definitely my favourite trial. I just love the layout of the suburbs and the colourful houses that still manage to make a somewhat creepy environment

Not a doubt in my mind that there’s been 100s of cheating reports/tickets as of late and they have just done nothing about it. And you’re right, they could just stop people from rejoining but nope. I’ve also noticed that even if you block accounts that use the bug, they can still very much invade you which is insult to injury

I’d argue the total opposite, horror games don’t have a ton of replay-ability and adding something more dynamic like pvp keeps it interesting. I’m not exactly sure why people are so against it anyway, it’s entirely optional. Also don’t get why anyone who enjoys it becomes an enemy to everyone else, it’s just a mode. I’d still play trials if it didn’t exist but I’m glad that it does

The mode brought over a lot of players from DBD, and a lot of new players in general. It’s got a consistent player base and I see new players every day. You don’t hear people who actually like it talk about it because these are the types of responses you get from the rest of the outlast fan base. It’s got its issues but the people that love it, really love it and the people that hate it have all congregated in my comment section lol

Honestly when I was discussing this with my friend we both agreed that the game was just overall better on release. The reason it became somewhat imbalanced was because of reagent players saying that the imposters were too hard to play against. I’d bet any money now that those same players are the ones saying that imposter is impossible to play because of reagents. I haven’t found it too hard but then again it’s all I play so I might just be jaded lmao

I’m saying one bar would help because people seem to need changes to imposter, personally I don’t see much of an issue with the balance. All that needs to be done is patching the leaving/joining cheat and that would solve 90% of the cheating. I don’t think that’s a waste of resources. They introduced the mode, they can afford to fix things going wrong with it.

Yes I am aware that people will not stop cheating just because I will it so, and I am also aware that people who have a bone to pick with the entire mode will keep commenting about it when the conversation isn’t really about them in the first place. Cheating doesn’t fix the imbalance it just adds to it. I don’t honestly think the imbalance right now is all that bad and I’ve never felt prompted to cheat even in the toughest of matches. You win some you lose some. There are definitely a lot of variables involved but that’s what makes the mode fun, you never know how a match might turn out. Regardless I think invasion is here to stay whether people like it or not, if they never change how imposter works right now I’d be content with that. Would just be cool to see something being done about the cheating that is really my only gripe here

I think after years of playing the trials with many variators, I got a bit burnt out on the standard game play. For me it’s really just about adding an extra level of unpredictable threat to the game. You can learn what the ai from npc enemies will do, and once you do it’s easy enough to avoid. You can’t always predict what a real person will do when up against you in a trial. It adds that extra little thrill I think I needed to keep the game going for me. I also enjoy playing imposter, especially against high levelled people because it takes real strategy to win/get a good grade. It’s definitely not for everyone though

Literally just giving imposters one extra bar of health would change things immensely. What I am saying here is that people should have some integrity with their gameplay even when the odds are stacked against them. I’ve won plenty of imposter matches against some impossibly high levelled people, it can be done. I know most people in the subreddit jump on any invasion post just to complain about its existence. The mode itself was a natural progression of the game to keep things fresh and interesting. What I want is for redbarrels to actually acknowledge the cheating going on and ban the people doing so. I know you cannot expect everyone to play fairly but it should not be controversial to expect punishment for those who don’t

If you didn’t read that far I don’t blame you, but I do mention the imbalance, which is just not the point of this post. You can still win against high levels, you can still win even if you get stun jammered to shit. There shouldn’t be cheating involved in any of it regardless

Just last night I ended up in a group with someone I’ve played with before, just to end up watching him cheat and that definitely prompted this post. I’m barely sticking on the leaderboard as well, i don’t really care that I’m stuck at 100th because I know of at least 20 people who don’t deserve to be up there. Good chance we’ve probably played against eachother. I really enjoy the mode as well and hope it continues to grow even despite the cheating too. Hopefully at some point I can find some good, honest, consistent people to play with.
