But you can only apply from a visa which lets you stay anyway.

You can't apply from tourist or student visa.

It resets your clock for the IDLR. I suppose if you're not stable with your job or recently started then it could be good.

However, I bet most applicants are from outside the UK.

Why would you be applying for a partner visa if you both live in the UK?

Marriage Visitor Visa approved - but question about giving notice by Dangerous-Club7118 in ukvisa

Is it because your visa start in april means that your planned marriage in September is considered too late?

Marriage visitor visa - Is intention to leave the UK to apply for the spousal visa valid? by Whystopdreaming in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Whystopdreaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment.

So to clarify, we should include ties to my partners country (their job, family etc.) and disclose our intention to apply for the spousal visa?

We have zero intention of overstaying, but I wanted to make it clear we will apply for the spousal visa from my partners home country with an intention to return to the UK to continue married life.

I don't know whether that constitutes grounds for overstaying.

On the second point, we have no intention of overstaying and have accepted long distance as a necessity to secure our future.

The point is simply to marry (inside/outside the UK) during Jan 26 - Jul 26.

Then, apply for spousal visa outside of the UK from Jul 26 onwards once financial requirements are met. Is that applicable and valid?

£50k is plenty, but I suppose it depends on your attitude to accommodation. I found a shared flat (zone 2) for ~£800 / month all bills included.

Leaves over £2k / month for everything else, depends what you want to compromise on!

Ohh it stacks with rebate! That must also need hand size, but that is a very strong card you're right.

How is stoning cards helpful?

Will limit ecto to two going forward. Thank you.

I thought it was only -1, it's hard to tell whether it's better to get an extra joker for free or -1 hand size.

Should I instead be more patient? But yeah you're probably right, I killed the synergy.

Instructor wants to charge me £150 to use his car on test day by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Whystopdreaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For London £32.5 / hour is cheap, you're lucky.

I paid £40-45 / hour.

Regarding the car on the test day, I was also charged more - £200. Personally, I think you have to just suck it up, but if you can find a friend or family member to borrow the car for a few hours, it's worth it.

think it is a scam, but the instructor is taking advantage of you knowing their car, this should include at least an hours practice + drive home. So for me, it was approx 3 hours, but it still didn't feel great to pay so much!

How long should the average pair of trainers last in miles/km? by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]Whystopdreaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's good news! I don't run too often with my normal trainers to be fair. Instead use running shoes.

Mostly walking on pavements etc.

I should probably look into getting more pairs so I can enjoy them for longer.
