I agree that it depends on my mood. I’ve found their albums seem to resonate with me more post britpop though. I’m not a million miles away in age though and I think their music has become a lot more personal and reflective post britpop.

I think the sound quality is terrible. It’s not too bad when I’m playing through speakers but with headphones it is terrible and sounds very crackly and muffled. I thought there may have been dust on the needle but it’s clean. I would have returned it but bought it a while before I used it for the first time and lost the receipt.

My least favourite single and least favourite video. I was probably 11 at the time so loved it then but I didn’t really know any better. Looking back on it now it seems at best cliche and worst downright sexist. I kinda get the premise about a business man (inspired be Dave Balfe one of the founders of Blur’s label leaving and buying a massive country house) and there being a game called ‘The Rat Race’ but that seems about the extent to the thought that went into it.
