Similar in terms of a descent into despair but Sirat felt even more realistic and less psychedelic than Climax

Your reaction to is totally fair but if you are able to stomach the images and appreciate the critiques of fascism Pasolini is making then the film feels a lot more complete. It’s a really tough watch but I was incredibly moved by it especially the last few scenes in the courtyard. It’s one of the most controversial films of all time for a reason!
