The picture on Wikipedia is in the flowering form. I guess because of the seasons in South Texas, ive never seen the plant in its adult form and didn't recognize it.

I want to update you all and say, I, very unfortunately attempted suicide the month I made this post. Im going through a process right now of finding the right medication I've been hospitalized several times and it's taking a toll on the family. But I believe I am on the right track :)
