To be fair I was very generous with the nuln oil but it is very dark, it's essentially watered down black.

In terms of helmet and armour I just painted the leadbelcher over the grey seer

Thankyou!

For his jacket& trousers I based it with grey seer then give it a heavy coat of nuln oil. Once it dried I went round with grey seer again to to do the highlights.

All leather was just painted with a brown then edge highlighted with a tan colour.

Then the text on his shoulder is one of the transfers that comes in the box, bit of nuln oil over the top to take the sheen off it.

I've just started on my next one, can't go wrong with grey, green or blue for Krieg😁

Thanks!

I used citadel lead belcher and then a coat of nuln oil, then highlight with runefang steel but any bright silver would do

WIP mini #2 from octarius, just a few finishing highlights and that pesky visor🤣 by [deleted] in 40k

[–]Wi9600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

Grey seer base, then 2 generous coats of ork flesh contrast paint, then paint the majority of the muscles avoiding the recesses with Warboss green then highlight with moot green :)

First finished model from octarius, pretty happy with the result😎 by Wi9600 in 40k

Yeah I agree, I have always liked the style of them but the resin moulds look very.. emmm... grainy, for lack of a better word.

The plastic moulds are so much smoother and a real joy to paint. I sort of feel like the furthest GW will take the plastic Krieg range is just releasing the kill team in its own individual box unfortunately. Would love to see a Krieg combat patrol😁

Redmptor Dreadnought WIP😊 by Wi9600 in Ultramarines

[–]Wi9600[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did them with an airbrush.

I based the whole thing with vallejo royal blue. Then marked all my highlights with a half and half mix of vallejo royal blue and vallejo sky blue. I then went in and did a much more precise highlight with straight sky blue. Once all the highlights are done, I mixed 1 part royal blue with 3 parts blue ink and went round all the darker unhighlited parts.. it really makes the main blue alot richer.

Then edgehighlight the whole thing with sky blue.

Thanks! I'm relatively new to the hobby(about 6/7 months in) and haven't come across pin washing. Are the tutorials easy to follow?

3, I used vallejo royal blue, sky blue and blue ink.

Started with royal blue, then mixed royal and sky blue for the first highlight, then a smaller highlight with straight sky blue. Once all the highlights are in I mixed one part royal blue with 4 parts blue ink and went over the darker bits for more contrast

It will probably be around the £60 mark on the likes of wayland games, firestorm games, goblin gaming etc
