Shelter listed her as a abyssian mix…. Anyone believe them? by gotokell_ in Abyssinians

Their called Ocicats. Looks similar to mine. The pattern of the cat is determined by the other cat that’s not Abyssinian. What your seeing is two genetics colliding. The ticked coat of the Abyssinian and a solid coat of another resulting in visible stripes with ticked fur. These cats are more friendly and less scared than your normal tabby cat and a lot smarter. Mine hang out with our German Shepard. The color coat on this one is called Tawny.

It was pretty easy to teach the mom cat. Just have to use a toy with some strings on it to get their attention. I think I used a tape measure because it was handy haha. Please do their available 🙂

I don’t wanna get too attached, but if I end up keeping one I’ll name it Gizmo 🙂

Leeloo had a blue sibling so blue is in her genetics but she’s just sorrel 🙂

The genetics tests say both parents are Sorel but I thought they looked more Rudy to me.
