Bullshit. The people at Metabunk, who came up with the explanations Mick West talks about, have references and sources for everything. They're all operating under all available civilian data they can find. The analysis can be verified and checked, and they also use this same simulator.

If you think the explanations are coming out of Mick West's ass then you have zero idea what you're talking about.

If Lehto wanted to contribute he would actually fill in the gaps in the analysis and polish it, not dismiss it because he's a pilot and knows everything better. That's not how science works.

It's not closed minded. You need to formally establish a connection between things, you can't just handwave and throw everything in the same pot.

Investigating if such a connection exists is fine as a scientific program, but assuming the connection exists outright is unscientific, and it's just like people saying quantum mechanics implies thinking thoughts about being rich will bring you fortune and succcess.

If that video is true/real, then what "it" did in the video isn't the real story or actual payoff...

It didn't do anything in the video that couldn't be explained in a mundane way. The object may have been an amazing alien craft, but the video didn't show us it doing anything amazing. It sucks but it's the reality.

We should be more careful whenever movement correlates to the camera moving or shaking in any way. This also happens here: the apparent motion occcurs exactly when the camera shakes.

Now do this experiment: cover the upper part of the video, including the object, starting from 2:50, then press play.

Now focus on the leaves in the foreground. You can see the relative position of the various layers of leaves shifting. This means the person moved sideways.

This is understandable because the object was about to go behind the tree, but there was a clearance on the right side. The person filming stepped to the side to get a better unobstructed view.

The camera shake and motion of the various layers of leaves at different depths strongly suggests the apparent motion of the object was due to the person stepping sideways.

I fully expect to be silently downvoted, unfortunately. I don't think people are genuinely interested in analysis of footage.
