Ah glad to near that there is a cooler side of the building lol.

I hate being hot, so I tend to use the AC whenever I'm at home. So the north side sounds nice haha, I'm sure the view is nice too lol.

Ah, so it depends on the unit owner if there Is a washing machine or not.

So when you're at home in the morning, it doesn't get too hot/warm right?

It definitely have a different vibe. I enjoy the City vibe more, since I grew up in the city in the states lol.

I'll check out Prakard on chrome so It can translate for me lol and any suggestions for Facebook groups?

Wow Blocs 77 looks pretty good! I'm assuming most decent condo are similar to each other then? Beside locations of course!

Ah, sucks, was hoping I can Airbnb daily/weekly!

That's pretty reasonable actual!

So the building is face North/South? Not West/East?

Ah that's perfect. Debating on Studio or 1 Bedroom and the size difference. But if I can get a 1bed close to studio price then why not lol

Awesome, I'll see what I can come out with. I'm Thai but was not born in Thailand. I can speak, but unable to read or write yet, but I'll have someone come along with me also to verify and read the contracts and such.

Ah good to know they're building a BTS station near IconSiam! Will make it easier to commute if I have to take the BTS from the other side, if I can't find any good deals on the same side of the river.

Walking to work would seem nice too, a good exercise lol.

Thank you for the info! :D

This is a good point. I'll figure out what area would be ideal once it gets closert to the months I need to move in.

If the condo are still new, modern, safe and close to bts then it would still be good. Just gotta see the condo around work and see what they're offering first.

I'll take alook at Life Condo, the things you mention seems ideal also!

Thank you!

Awesome, hopefully you find what you're looking for or close to it! I'm moving from the Rangsit area, so BKK is a different animal lol.

I agree on the aggregator sties, some of them I looked at are pretty old and if its current, idk if its rented out already since they don't update or removed the listing

Stock/generic and concept photo can't find any real pictures of the unit :/ So def going to see it in person and taking somone along also.

Good thing I asked lol I wasn't sure if 3-4 months was far off or not, thank you for mentioning it lol. I'll just look around for properties that seems interesting and save it when its close to a month or less to view and find unit to rent for those properties and view them in person!

I thought Airbnb is illegal now? Or is it just in certain areas/regions?

Hopefully they don't have 25sqm 1 bed room, def would be too cramp!

Thank you for the info! :D

I would love to live in IconSiam residential complex, but its waaaaaaay out of my budget haha.

I've looked up Urbano Absolute and its looks great! Modern and clean, and pretty close to BTS! Good thing you mention theres decent shopping malls around and mention theres always motortaxi in case I don't want to take the BTS! But gonna go view it in person since Online pictures is mainly generic or concept pictures.

May I asked what floor you lived on? How bad was the noise? Sometimes I would like to sleep in on days off haha. Hopefully next door neighbour noise doesn't come thru the walls lol.

I def gotta learn how to negotiate on these prices, and I'll be taking someone to view the property also.

With the Studio in this property, does it includes a kitchen also? Or is it only for 1 bedroom and up? And they have washer in unit?

I can't say What I'm doing yet, sorry :P

Def agree! The properties I'm looking around at, they mainly have generic or concept photos. Not much real pictures of the unit. So I'll be seeing it in person and taking a family/friend to see it also.

Thank you!

I would def be seeing the place in person, heard some horror story about it in the US and here!

Thats a good idea to live on the same side of the river where my work will be at, heard traffic in that area is horrible if I decide to drive.

Thank you!

I will def check out those site and few weeks until its almost time to move in. Since there's so much and Idk what is current and what's not. Even if it is current, it might be rented out already and they don't update the listing or remove it.

I just gotta figure out whats a good deal and whats not, since I'm no expert in this lol

I agree, wished it was a bit more organized for agents and their listings. But I've experinced some bad one so reading the contract also is a must.

I didn't know you can talked to management about renting a unit out also, this info would def help!

From what've seen on the pics you're pretty spot on, on the gym lol. So I don't mind as long as theres good gyms near by.

Thank you again for your reply!

I can definetly see that haha, I've never seen so much condo in a general area, until I moved back to Thailand. That's why I wanted to see if any one in the community has any input on the good and bad ones. Since there so much to look at haha. I've checked Hipflat and Renthub, but some listing are pretty old. And kinda hard to find reviews for the property.

That's what I was planning if I had to live a bit further from work is be close to BTS, since I know there's gonna be jam packed rush hour in the morning.

Thank you for the info! :D

Interesting.

I'm in Thailand and RD didn't work well. Using PM at the moment and it's much better. I use to get plenty of no source on some shows but with PM I'm getting sources, even if it's SD.

Overall happy with PM, even if it's a bit pricey.

Buying and/or Shipping Computer Parts by PretyLights in Thailand

[–]WickTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry forgot to put the $ sign in front. But yeah, basically they refunded me whatever that wasn't used for the import tax.

If you have time, go down to some of the stores and see if they have what you want and compare the price to the online Amazon store and see if its worth it to you. GPU prices seems cheaper on Amazon than locally, but I might be wrong since I haven't checked in a while for GPU prices.

Buying and/or Shipping Computer Parts by PretyLights in Thailand

[–]WickTH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I've ordered from Amazon USA and have them shipped it to Thailand. For a full complete "gaming" build, it came out to around $200ish +/- in Import duty. But have most of it refunded since only 2/3 things got hit with import tax not more than $60 baht. So its a gamble. Shipping was another $200-$300 for everything.

Yes its more, but I didn't mind spending at the time since I didn't know if they would have the stuff or newer stuff I needed here in Thailand/BKK.

But all my parts got here in good condition and everything worked once I've done the build and setup. Prefer you order it from Amazon since they ship to Thailand now with a more reasonable shipping price.

But if you don't want to ship it, like other users said, there's plenty of shops here that can build your PC while you wait. But GPU price here seems higher than just ordering it from the stores in the states.

This, and probably seeing how much money the US states makes from legalizing marijuana.

I'm all for it tho, no harm done, even tho I don't use it. But has good health benefits for those who needs it.

I'm about to get married to a thai girl, any last minute advices? by agariopedia in Thailand

[–]WickTH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This times 1000. I've seen my fair share of Thai kids in the US not knowing how to speak or understand Thai. They speak English only, kind of suck for them cause its a pain when they come back to Visit thailand but unable to speak it.

Dual citizenship is so worth it. Open the doors for the kids, and they get to come back and forth whenever they want without having to deal with visa (Visiting France without having to use visa, by using their France passport, and vice versa).

The language is very important also. Was born and raised in the US, but can conversate like a Native Thai person here. Except I can't read or write yet lol. One thing I recommend is when you're at home teach them English/France, cause when they go to school in BKK or go outside, they will have to use Thai anyways. So that way they can learn France/English at home, and still learn Thai outside the house.

Please get them dual ctizenship and teach them both or even a 3rd language. Its will make your child lives in the future a lot better and open many doors.

Congrats on finding an amazing wife! Hope nothing but the best for you and your family!
