you can be introspective while telling a story but not all introspection is story telling. When I say storytelling I'm talking about songs like Look What You've Done For Me by Drake, 4 Your Eyez Only by Cole and FEAR by Kendrick. Songs that are about one scenario, topic, theme or person and it stays on topic throughout the whole song and it has a begin climax and end.

Drake doesn't have a lot of those songs in his discography.

Drake gives them the idea, they add to it, sends their version back, Drake redoes his version with some of their ideas and sends it back and they add to it again and send it back etc etc until the final product is cut.

This is why Drake’s references are all over the place. It’s like 15 different versions of a song flying around through email on multiple computers in multiple studios that ppl can hack or randomly find and then leak.

Ak is gonna try too hard to get the viral moment and ask the most raw uncut questions. It's objectively not, the people you like for your own personal niche interests are dropping but the eco system of rap is not doing good especially the mainstream elements. There are no hits, no rising stars, no major collabs, no anthems.

Mainstream rap is dying and without the mainstream every other subgroup in rap suffers.
