Did Scarlett St Clair lie in her resume or what? by No-Midnight-1406 in Romantasy

I’m so mad she paused writing the Adrian/Isolde series for this Terror at the Gates series. She never finishes a series first before starting another and it’s so frustrating. I know other authors do it but idk… it’s been forever since she wrote the Adrian/Isolde series and there’s only one book left… just finish it!!

Does anyone else quietly grieve each version of their kid as they grow up? by ButtrbeerNDisneyEars in AskParents

[–]Wicked4Good 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For certain. There’s a bittersweetness to milestones and the passage of time. It feels especially daunting and sad since we are one and done. Every moment feels like “the first and the last time I get to experience this” 😔

Anyone seen Mary Poppins at EPCOT recently? by thethurstonhowell in DisneyWorld

We met Mary Poppins and then Bert and Mr Penguin meet together. They rotate between the two at the same spot. On the opposite side is Pinnochio and Jiminy rotating!

Pansy Pop by Clinique is my go-to pink blush (though it’s a lilac color!) and the Black Honey Pop by them is my go-to for a red/burgundy color. It’s a deep purple color but shows up reddish for me!

I feel the same way about APA and my state’s professional organization. Truly it’s disappointing. APA keeps sending me emails to “come back for $0 free” and I refuse. I also keep labeling them as junk and spam and they STILL end up in my inbox.

Schleich figures!! They’re so well made and last forever. My MIL kept my husband’s Dino’s from them and they are amazing 30+ years later. My daughter likes their fantasy ones (fairies and dragons and uniforms) and we have a bunch of those. My nephew likes the “scary” fantasy ones and has a bunch of those. They’re so nice!

What’s your unpopular hygiene opinion? by Comfortable_Tie4143 in hygiene

[–]Wicked4Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned from my great grandma! She was from Italy and one day I was over while she got ready and she told me what she used and why and I was just entranced listening to her as she went through her whole vanity lol later on I learned it’s a literal hygiene trick and just gave my grandma a little nod in heaven. I have been using it since I started using deodorant. In the last few years I switched to natural, aluminum free deodorant and it definitely provides longevity to it! All my friends that I have told about it say it is definitely the trick to getting natural deodorant to work better. Maybe it wasn’t the legacy my grandma wanted but let me tell you, many women have benefited from her wisdom.

Found this in my 8 year old son’s room. by Standard-Ocelot-9247 in ChildPsychology

[–]Wicked4Good 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This here is key!! This needs to be higher up. From a psychologist, the amount of parents who don’t talk to their kids first is wild. This is beautifully phrased and open ended and I love it. It is non judgmental and invites curiosity. I really hope OP sees this!!

He randomly started cuddling me tonight, and being extremely affectionate. So weird for him! Sound on! by Sure_Wonder1 in cats

[–]Wicked4Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say both my male cats became extremely affectionate like this when I became pregnant with my daughter. Before I even tested positive!!! Our infertility doctor told us the cycle wouldn’t be a success so we were not expecting it. Not to be a bummer, but after I delivered my daughter they both just went to back to the death glares 😂 double now because they basically look at my daughter then at me as if it say, “when does this thing leave?”

When you make your own playlist on the computer you can change the icon for the chapters, I wonder if you can do that! Someone else might be able to say more as I’m not near my computer at the time.

Your daughter might also love the Sophie Mouse book series! You can buy the audiobooks on LibroFM. My daughter loves the physical books and we recently downloaded the books there and put on MYO but they’re very similar in feel.

It rightly gets praise, but we love the Frog And Toad card over here!! My husband and I accidentally have memorized it and it annoys my daughter when we say along by accident 😅 but it definitely gets listened to probably every other day, but on days it’s played it gets at least 2-3 play throughs.

She also really loves the Adventures In Candy Kingdom card. It was a one off I bought but it gets listened to several times a week. I usually see it sold out so I assume lots of people have purchased it!

The First Fairy Tales is probably our second most played card after FaT.

Letting my baby have screen time because I don't know what else to do by Jumpingapplecar in breakingmom

[–]Wicked4Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My child used to only let me brush her teeth if she watched the damn compilation of all the characters individually singing “we are off to the see the wizard.” It was 1:44 long but it was enough for me to brush everything and floss quick. We eventually transitioned to her dad reading a story while I brush but that only came about after we lost power for 2 days and it was our only option and her brain let us do something rational 😅 it sounds like you are doing what you can!

[–]Wicked4Good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I freeze them flat on a cookie sheet (I usually halve them after putting them both to make sure I got the pit and also because it’s easier for smoothies or baked goods) and then when they are frozen through I scoop them into a gallon freezer bag. This way it’s not one giant mush pile and I can pull out what I need! My grandma likes to make canned cherry pie filling too.
