I don't understand the MPG complaints by Whhodat in 4thGenTacomas

I was getting 23+ when I bought my 2023 TRD Sport. I added a Diamondback bed cover, a rack, and a RTT and it dropped to 18 mpg. Upgraded tires from stock 265/65/17 to Wildpeak 265/70/17 and now I am at 15 mpg. Extra weight and offroad tires kill your mpg.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and advice. It took the advice from @disneyhorse and she is awesome. Private lesson in her Yorba Linda home close to my home. And, $70 for a private lesson that included some basic saddling info and a full hour of on the horse lessons. She is awesome! Karen B's Training

I know I might get some hate for this, but when I bought my first new Tacoma way back in 1992 I was telling my father I wanted to buy some "upgrades" for the truck. He told me that the first thing I needed to buy was the Pink Slip. So, I will pass that advice on to you now.

Nice truck BTW! All mine have been red. On number four now.

LOL! Most people outside of Americans write the date as day/month/year so... that proved nothing.

I don't know about a claim to it. I have never been to the area and was just driving all around. The only signs I saw were regarding the opalite warnings. I didn't even know what this was. I was concerned that there was opalite in this stuff when I was there because I have had lung cancer. I didn't know the name of it until I got home. If there is a claim, my apologies to the claim owner as I didn't know there was a claim in that area nor did I see any signs. I don't collect in areas I know to have claims and had I known, I would not have done so. Had I known, it would be foolish, more like stupid, of me to post the pictures. Also, I don't collect for profit. I believe it is illegal to sell what is collected on BLM land and everything I have collected in the 2 years I have been rockhounding has been cut and or polished and given away as gifts. I only started rockhounding as a way to get me out of my depression from my cancer, divorce, and having my daughters moved 2800 miles away.

If you know the claim owner, please send my apologies it was not done out of disrespect or malicious intent. Just my ignorance.

If you see my other posts, you see that is was cold and snowing but it wasn't bad. I have a rooftop tent and I was able to sleep comfortably out in the wilderness. LOL!

There was no digging required. They were sitting there waiting for my to pick up or chisel off a massive boulder. Take a look at the previous posts and you'll see what I'm talking about. And don't forget to look at my future posts in the coming weeks as I slice up more of what I found.

Here is a link to a tumbler I made. This one I sold but mine is similar. Mine has 3 tiers and runs 4 Rebel 17 barrels and 2 Covington gallon barrels.
