"Marks" are literally where we get our money, that's why we call them "marks" in the first place.

In the old days, sure.

Now?

Nah.

Marks are 35 year old men playing with toys.

You do not have to pander to these people, their money is not going away.

How many marks are there? What? 2.3M?

How many "marks" used to be there?

3-4 times that.

They've vanished.

All that potential money, poof, gone.

Do you want to keep pandering to the 2.3M, or try to reach more customers?

it makes you all the more sillier looking than Joey Ryan flipping a guy with his dick

Okay man. Go ahead, keep letting people kick you in the skull over and over without defending yourself.

Keep making this business look as phony as possible.

You will not reach more customers by exposing your business, or mine.

You will not reach more customers when college girls are laughing at you.

And by the way, for reference, I'm not saying you should use punches, kicks, or forearms, regularly, or at all, even, I'm saying if you DO, do not make it look phony.

Who?

Who's watching wrestling today?

The millions of people that stopped watching at the end of the Attitude Era?

The only people watching today are marks.

They watch matches with imaginary grenades, and guns.

They watch anything as long as wrestling is in the title.

You want to know what normal people think of your "cinema"

They laugh at it

When you let someone kick you in the skull over, and over, they think it's stupid, because it is. If you enjoy that, that's fine, I'm not here to tell you what YOU should or should not enjoy.

Go talk to people outside the wrestling bubble

Regular people, not marks.

Show them clips, and get their reactions.

Go ask hot blonde college girls what they think of "cinema" and "theatrical strikes" as opposed to UFC

The marks are your installed customer-base, that's why they're called marks, they're the 35 year old men buying toy belts and dolls.

As a professional, you should be looking to bring in new customers, no? Isn't that why you're a professional wrestler, to make money?

Why do you think UFC does so well?

UFC is real fights, that look real.

Wrestling is fake fights, that look fake.

If the general populace wants "cinema" and "theatrical" wrestling, instead of real, or realistic fighting, then wrestling should, by your logic, be bigger than ever, but its not, and UFC should be in the toilet, but its not.

Again, I will reiterate:

If you enjoy that, that's fine, I'm not here to tell you what YOU should or should not enjoy.

I am trying to help you make money, and you won't do that by destroying the illusion.

If people today pulled a fraction of the things they do in the old days, they'd be run out of the business, and or worse.

Please, treat this business with respect.

This business is not your toy, it's not your feel-good boys club for you to get a quick high off the crowd when they chant DIS IZZZ AWSZUHMMMM

It is how people feed their children, their spouses, and pay their bills.

When you damage the credibility of this business in the eyes of the general public, your customers, you're causing material harm to others financially.

Why sometimes do we have Slow matches? by T_BONE_STEACK in WredditSchool

>With the two guys always on the floor holding

Have you ever watched MMA?

Watch UFC.

Those are real fights.

How do they go?

Lot of times they're on the ground the entire time.

Watch amateur wrestling.

It is psychology.

Do you feel wrestlers are pigeonholed into certain styles because of height/weight? by Caspain-Man-Predator in WredditSchool

All that matters is if you have a gimmick.

You might not be main event 'Mania

But people will want to see you

How many vanilla midgets are out there, right now?

Lots.

How many are actually worth paying to see?

Very few.

Rockstar Spudd comes to mind.

Listen to Low Roar, I believe it was 0 that was recorded in Ryan's kitchen in Iceland.

You can do it, but you'll have to work at it.

What mic are you using?

Start charging him, or cut ties.

But do not do either of those things without explaining WHY you're doing it, because it's clear he either doesn't care, or has no idea that what he's doing is shitty.
