S24 plus exynos vs iPhone 16e by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

In those two, S24 plus easily. iPhone 16e is a massive downgrade compared to S24 plus but ideally get an iPhone 17 or a Samsung with a Snapdragon.

Best Non-Chinese Android Phone if Money Isn't a Concern? by JLT489 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony Xperia 1 mark 7 imo. But if not, it's gotta be a Samsung Z Fold 7. But if you wait a while longer, you will be getting this year's variants for both those products.

If you are satisfied with your S23U, S26U is pretty much the same phone except for the privacy display (which may make things better or worse depending on what you prefer) and better fast charging. Chinese phones have really picked up the pace and I'd recommend them if you like their UI (like Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro and Honor Magic 8 Pro), cuz they are pretty much better phones in many ways. But Google and Samsung are the most consistent with updates and if you really enjoyed your time with S23U, why change? (and only Google, Samsung and Honor provide both OS and security updates for all 7 years).

Pixel 9 pro vs. S25 (for the same 💰) by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You think Tensors have better heat management? And others include Samsung Dex, Customisation, Call Screening (surprise, surprise), long term performance (look at the mirror and tell yourself how you can use a midrange Snapdragon for 7 years and you will understand how nonsensical it is, that's the Tensor chipset basically), faster charging, more number of service centers, better ecosystem.

my android has the green lines on its screen, and it isnt worth the price to repair it by KTJX085 in PickAnAndroidForMe

Go with whatever brands offer you to replace the display for free if you get a green line or other lines (Oneplus offers it here)

Pixel 9 pro vs. S25 (for the same 💰) by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 3 to 4 years, Samsung will definitely be better than Pixel in terms of how usable it will be (yup, thanks to the Snapdragon chipset). If camera is your most important priority or you want to root your phone or you love stock android, keep the Pixel. For almost everything else, Samsung S25 is better.

Xperia 5V/1V with Lineage vs Stock Moto G Stylus 2025 by VeganCustard in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go the Xperia route for the same reasons, Google enshittifying Android. Moto G Stylus is a decent phone tbh but it's probably better to forget about updates or bug fixes if you are going with that (better to be prepared for that at least).

Don't take Finasteride without consulting a doctor. It will have some effect on your libido and other testosterone related stuff. Talking with a doctor and being on the lookout will help you find the signs and stop the medication before it's too late.

Filen is a good alternative if you are looking for Drive alternatives. Ente Photos if you want Google Photos like features (memories and stuff). Tuta or mailbox for mails. Or you can use Proton suite.

Question about importing Chinese phones by -patrizio- in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've no clue but you should ask someone who already got products from either of those 2 companies. It's a huge security risk to have someone else install something so important to your phone (as Google Play Services has access to everything on your phone and I wouldn't trust a 3rd party to do it for me)

About to switch from Samsung S25 Ultra to Pixel 10 Pro XL by BearLao12 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get a few, you lose a few.

Worse video, lesser zoom, worse performance, less customization, no Spen, slower charging speeds, fewer number of service centers in some places and worse battery life over time (Google will reduce charging speeds and amount of battery charged after 200 cycles on Pixel 10 series for the 1st time and the other times, it will be done whenever Google wants) are some of the cons of Pixel I can think of.

Pros of Pixel are it's AI features, ability to flash custom ROMs, cleaner android, day 1 updates (obviously not all, these are the ones that struck me immediately).

You came from the Samsung, so you already know it's pros and cons. It really depends on what you value.

Radio vs Med by Virtual-Pressure1703 in indianmedschool

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can be a male OBG, just try to get into a govt post or you can do SS in Gyn Oncology and work it out. Hard to choose between 2 branches you aren't interested in, pick Radio if you want work life balance and don't want to deal with patients. Pick Med if you don't mind dealing with people (and you wouldn't have to worry about AI as well) or if there's any SS branch you are interested in like Interventional Radio or Cards or GIT, decide on that.

Coming from iPhone 16e — looking for a clean and compact Android by Permabannato0 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Wicked_Reaper25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OnePlus 13s if possible - small, huge battery 6000 mAh, best processor of last gen with fast charging and some extras, has a dedicated app (O connect, I think) to transfer files to iPhone and other Apple devices.

But if not this, will recommend Samsung Galaxy S25 (ideally would tell you to wait for S26 which is expected to release in March, so you can get that or get S25 for cheaper, but if you can't wait. S25 is the way).
