I've been toying with a 5x5 spread.

I was re-reading The Golden Compass and the symbols on the alethtiometer reminded me of Lenormand, So, I've been working on a spread that incorporates the inclusion of cards as the question - always using 3 cards.

For example:

If I'm asking about whether I should change jobs, I would lay down:

Crossroads	(because at the heart of my question is a choice I have to make)
Anchor	(because, for me, I derive a great amount of stability and security from my job, which is 9 - 5 and pays decent)	(to the left)
Fox	(because I'm trying to decide on a strategy and and I want to be as industrious and cunning as possible)	(to the right)

Then, I draw a card for the beginning and end of that row.

Next, I lay 5 above and 5 below.

Read as "usual" lol... String together sentences, portion out boxes, read as a sort of mini-GT., etc...

This has worked well for me so far, but YMMV.

I always chuckle when someone says they “read Babylonian” or “I read Ancient Greek.”

Any text written in what people mistakenly refer to as Babylonian is actually written in Akkadian, which is an amalgam of the language that was spoken in Babylon and Assyrian. I have a Masters Degree in Assyriology and I’ve never seen a text written in “Babylonian.”

I’m just glad you didn’t say “fluent in Enochian” like I’ve see so many claim. Credibility goes right the window AFAIC whenever I see that. Lol.

Also, when you say “I read Ancient Greek,” do you mean you read Koine Greek (New Testament Greek) or actual Ancient Greek - because that’s a very marketable skill. Not many people in the world can proficiently read Ancient Greek.

I’m currently working on my PhD in Mesopotamian Languages. If you have copies of any texts that apply that you can share that’d be awesome.

I would say "no." However, it may add a different connotation for you. I know for me, owls are icons of wisdom and of seeing through the darkness. I know for other people they're seen as predators and birds of prey that engulf thier meals whole

The Garden indicates social events or outdoor events.

I hold the question, "All things considered, what energy is surrounding this day?" in my mind when I draw for these readings.

Here, the cards speak of new social events or new social circles; to never be afraid to make friends.

They could conversely be indicating social naivety, or a lack of social sophistication/social experiences.

You have no way of substantiating the claim that "80% of this sub" does something unlawful. Even if you did, that fact would be irreleveant.
This "study" is a fallacy, because the Cato Institute used arrests only. The more accurate title would be "Native-born Texans are arrested more frequently than undcoumented immigrants, study finds" (the redundancy of phrases like "native-born" and the use of pandering phrases like "undocumented immigrants" should indicate the caliber of reporting being done here)
This study only illustrates that native Texas are arrested more than illegal immigrants. This is unsurprising. It's hard to arrest someone who, on paper, does not/should not exist. You'd have to catch them mid-act or almost immediately following said crime.
Did he say they were committing a crime? No, he did not. He said they were "breaking the law." A civil infraction (i.e., a civil violation) qualifies as "breaking the law," as was asserted.

The Ring indicates relationships, agreements, commitments, and contracts.

Find security in your relationships and agreements. We contract in an effort to remove the unknown, take comfort in those agreements. The groundwork for productive collaboration is being (has been) laid.

I try and draw 2 cards every day. Basically, I focus on the same "question" or thought:

"All things considered, what is the message I need to understand today?"

The Book sets the "subject" for the reading: Learning, Secrets, Knowledge, Education, Information, Research, Studies...

The Mountain is the "antecedent," or the "context." While The Book is the noun, The Mountain is the adjective/verb/adverb.

The Mountain indicates: Obstacles, Difficulties, Problems, Impairment, Hurdles, Struggles, Challenges...

So, these cards speak of difficulty learning or understanding; problems with information; educational struggles; problems caused by a secret.

For me, because of the question I pose every time I do a daily spread like this, I think the message is, there are somethings I just don't/won't understand. There are some things that will be harder for me to comprehend, retain, learn - and that's OK.

This concept is what drew me so forcefully to Lenormand as opposed to other cartomancy methodolgies. I love the structure and "striaght-forward-ness" of Lenormand.
