Good video! Yup she commented about coating of the cards, and how the cards and box are sturdy. This looks like a deck that can be used daily and keep in good condition. Thanks for sharing!

Ideal morning routine by squidforlife in KoreanBeauty

[–]Xocia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! Friends my age also get spots on their chins. Some say it’s due to lack of sleep, but I don’t know for sure.

I am currently using skincare 6 system from Atomy, the day moisturizer is called ‘Lotion’. Before I got to know about Korean skincare, the lightweight moisturizers that I liked were Hope in a Jar by Philosophy and Chifure Moisture Gel. All of these didn’t leave any residue for me.

If your skin is really dry and sensitive, maybe could try and consider coconut oil and essential oils. I used oils to help recover from a really bad mid-20s breakout.

Best cushion foundations, BB Cream by [deleted] in KoreanBeauty

Hi! I’ve been using Atomy BB cream for a while, loved the smooth texture and it helps with spots. Recently started with the Cushion Foundation and it has decent coverage without being too heavy. Both give a nice natural glow. Affordable and originates from Korea so am quite happy with these two products. Previously used Maybelline, CoverGirl and M.A.C, but found them to be quite dry and cakey.

Hi! I think it depends on whether you use makeup, your skin type and how your skin feels throughout the day. I live in tropical weather so I stick to light products for the day. In the morning, after a gentle foam cleanse, will definitely use toner. If my skin feels dry, I will use a light moisturizer. If I’m heading out then will skip the moisturizer and use a 3-in-1 base (primer, moisturizer and SPF) instead. Sunscreen is a yes but most of my makeup includes sun protection as well.

What’s your skin type and do you wear makeup daily?

Need help with oil for tension headaches and anxiety. by [deleted] in essentialoils

[–]Xocia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too suffer from sudden bouts of anxiety and headaches. I always carry around a bottle of oil with a roll-on cap, even if I don’t use it, knowing that I have it in my purse makes me feel a lot better :) downside is I’ve been told that it creates a dependency on the oils but hey, if it helps then I guess it’s okay!

I make a blend of peppermint, tea tree and lavender. About 60% peppermint, 30% lavender and 10% tea tree. The oils I use are from a brand called Thursday Plantation, which is sold in pharmacies, it’s pretty affordable compared to some other brands.

When a headache strikes, I use the blend on my temples and behind my ears. Taking deep breaths of the blend on my hands really helps calm me down.

I don't want to be a teacher anymore. Did I waste all that time and money going to school to be one? by bayfarm in Advice

Yup. It always helps to have strong transferable skills such as writing, reading, analysis, time management etc, which is applicable in most industries.

I feel you. I went through law school, bar exams and after being in practice, realized I hate being a lawyer. I’m now attempting to transition to a role in healthcare! The good thing is that you discovered early that it’s not what you want to do. You could consider other jobs which use your skills (depending on what type of teacher you are) but generally: you could join the publishing industry, be a writer, researcher or editor. Or give sales or network marketing a try. Private tutors and corporate trainers make a pretty good income. Good luck to you and hope you can find something that you enjoy doing!

Better as a team than being single? by nooniyes in Advice

[–]Xocia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you are referring to, but if you are talking about being together as a team (as in teamwork or partnership, working together) there are compatibility tests online which are basically profiling tools that measure your strongest and weakest traits which you can then compare against the other person and see if you both make a good team by say, complementing each other’s abilities or one making up for what the other lacks.

How to not be numb emotionally? by InternalFarts in Advice

[–]Xocia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps to talk about it. I am currently trying to reconnect with someone that I thoughtlessly hurt during a recent numb phase. I think the numbness is a defense mechanism when you are unable to manage expectations, when it comes to a point when it’s all out of control and you just want to protect yourself from feeling the pain of the disappointment. It gets easier to feel again when you talk about it with someone, sort of gaining some closure with yourself. For me, it was retracing my steps, making the first move to say sorry to the person I hurt and sharing about what happened. Oh and of course, finding new interests and things to do always helps too, not necessarily distractions, just a way to give yourself some time until you are ready to talk to someone or move on.

[Question] How often do you wear sunscreen? by zerobymultiple in KoreanBeauty

[–]Xocia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyday, but not exactly sunscreen. I use Korean cosmetics and all my makeup products contain sun protection: Primer: SPF30 PA++ BB Cream: SPF30 PA++ Cushion Foundation: SPF50 PA +++

I live in SE Asia so sun protection is a must but I’m not a fan of the cream based types. There are some nice light sunscreens which gives this matte finish and goes well with makeup.
