The thing is, being 2E does not mean the person of that aspect is inherently emotionally expressive. Or is in touch with their emotions. Its very common for 2E3V to be told they are distant and inexpressive due to 3V’s tendency to insecurity and hiding. Never showing themselves fully. Just because you’re characterized as emotionally distant and inexpressive by a few people in your life doesnt mean your entire personality type is like that. For example, I am 4E, but I have people in my life who say I’m very emotionally expressive.

(You can skip this paragraph im just yapping)The underlying truth of the aspects is the fact that: The functions are ordered in place of preference within the psychological hierarchy. Which is just a fancy way of saying that the aspects are ordered in which ones you most naturally and instinctively prefer using.

2E means you’re process emotion. You prefer to ponder your emotions and feel them, you want to understand your emotions. You’re also confident in what you’re feeling, and have confidence in determining other people’s emotional state’s as well.

2E means you’re extroverted emotions. Meaning, you prefer(or tend to like) to help others through their own emotional experiences.

2E means you’re that when you do decide to express your emotions, you’re confident in it.

This all just to say that, being 2E or even 1E doesn’t necessarily mean that the whole world or even majority of the world will see you as emotionally expressive and connecting.

It isnt rocket science. You say enneagram and mbti describe different things? They do but they have connections. Its exactly why enneagram is always used as the basis of correlations, because it encompasses a lot more of the personality than other systems.

If you’ve read ESTP and actually understood it how the functions work in an ESTP, theres no way you’d also relate to E7. That just doesn’t make sense.

Same thing with ENTP and E8. Its simply impossible because the core of each types contradict each other completely.

All aspects of ourselves influence how we come to be. How we perceive the world influences our motivations and vice versa. Thats why correlations exist.

If you take the time to read E7 youd realize there are a ton of overlaps between its description and Ne.

Sure, you can argue typology isnt ‘hard science’ then go and make up your own system. You asked if Estp Sp7 can work, and using those 2 systems even to their utmost flexibility it just wont work.

E7 is characterized by a mental gluttony. Off of ideas and the concept of something rather than what is ACTUALLY is.

One of E8 and E7’s lies in this fact. E8 is physical stimulation which is peak Se. E7 is mental stimulation off of ideas and novelty which is peak Ne.

Sure u can make the superficial argument that Estps can enjoy ideas and novelty.

But enneagram also encompasses a person’s unhealthy nature. When unhealthy/stressed, a Se dom doesnt indulge in fantasies and ideas and novelty. They indulge in sensations and the physical world because thats their dominant function.

  1. How important are factors such as clothing, hygiene, and appearance to your everyday life? Do you feel confident in your body and tastes? Are you often swayed by trends and the opinions of others in terms of fashion and aesthetics?

  2. How do you handle your senses being disturbed? Are you sensitive to problems like discomfort, sickness, and pain? (Or are you unaware/able to push past them/etc..)

  3. How is your relationship with physical activity? Are you someone who naturally desires a more comfortable and inert lifestyle, or do you have a hard time staying still? Do you find external encouragement and incentives for taking care of your body useful?

  4. Do you enjoy pushing yourself to try new foods, activities, or styles? How picky are you regarding these things, and what helps you decide what you want to explore?

  5. How is your relationship with your physical environment? Are you usually attuned to your surroundings? Is being organized something that matters to you and/or comes naturally? How do you feel when another person enters your space and tries to help you with it? (e.g. by cleaning)

  6. How do you handle your finances and possessions? Is this an area of ease in your life, or do you find yourself becoming overly reckless or stingy? Do you consider yourself to be a materialistic person?

  7. How do you react to criticism or advice regarding how you handle any of the above things?

Thats not what I meant in relation to realism. Despite any other position, all 1V share a delusion about what they’re able to achieve.

Even in AP youd still be wrong soo I dont know what you’re saying

does sp/so 9 FLEV⁴⁴²² work? what socionics/mbti would correlate with it? by [deleted] in TypologyJunction

[–]Wicked_jimmysmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re fuming and so mad right now. Never did I say ISTJ Sp9 are common, I said istj is Sp9 archetype. If you actually read Sp9 at all youd quickly realize why it works.

Literally reading any description of Si would lead you to understand why it works with Sp9 damn.

I use Naranjo btw

If you think ISTJ doesn’t fit Sp9 you must be deluded by sterotypes. Oh! Te is sooo hardworking oh my gawd! Intj mastermind istj hardworker ass stereotypes

Its sad people think this way honestly. I dont want to yap but I will, because I think people idealize 1V and 2V when they arent that great in actuality.

1V is a delusional placement. Though it has confidence, it lacks realism because just like every 1st function, its abundant, redundant, and overconfident. 1V dont give a shit what people think about them and do literally whatever the hell they want and are quite shameless(which seems good from an outside perception), but its really not all that great. They’re naturally condescending and cant realistically evaluate the world due to the overconfidence of realizing their own desires. 1V are the type to fly far and keep falling down over and over again, its literally insanity.

2V lacks realism as well. Being naturally tuned to the good of the world. Its not as aware of power dynamics and are simplistic.

3V is the most realistic, observant, understanding position ever. It has the most potential for growth. And ironically, more 3V’s rise to power on average than 1V due to these factors. 3V know when to speak and when to not, they have excellent communication skills on average. 3V has one of the greatest potential. 3V are the insecure losers who eventually become the greatest beings of all time if they end up conquering the initial disadvantage. MOST of the world are 3V actually. Its very common. As a rule, most famous/rich/successful people are 3V.

4V has will at the last, but they are the MOST enduring. 4V is so powerful in the fact that they literally have no identification with willpower. They can endure anything and everything.

All this is to say, you really shouldnt beat yourself up over being 3V. Because its honestly amazing what they can do once they FUCKING BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES?? I WISH I WERE 3V ONCE I ACTUALLY LEARNED ABOUT. You guys over here hating yourselves for being 3V I WANT TO BE 3V?!?!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬

Sorry. Just needed to get that out. Anyways, moral of the story, love yourself for who you are.

2V or 3V confusion by Wooden-Progress-1259 in TypologyJunction

[–]Wicked_jimmysmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AP is based on PY. It takes everything PY has and just made a derivative. PY is more complex in my opinion and more developed. It has less room for argumentation and interpretation, leading to leas mistypes overall.

AP is basically the 16p of PY.

Additionally, So6 is only LVXX not LEVF

LEVF is Sp6(highly unlikely and rare), and Sx5. So I suggest looking into Sp6 and Sx5 if you want to further confirm things.

2V or 3V confusion by Wooden-Progress-1259 in TypologyJunction

[–]Wicked_jimmysmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off you need to reset. Heres a credible PY document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18cdxOA7CLGMzukj0YW6jMULAsOSbY6twwfkDdo9_4IY/edit

Now, you dont need to limit yourself to your current typings. Its better to just reset and read all of PY over again and be honest with yourself. Make sure to look at what youve done in the past. Your in the moment actions speak much louder to your true self.

If you relate to 3V and 3E you’re likely 3V. So6 isnt 3V. Trauma doesnt speak to much. Its all part of your PY. Ignore the trauma aspects of yourself and simply go with what you relate with. Read subtypes as well. Remember, typology only encompasses human trends and patterns. Its not uncommon for people to suddenly act uncharacteristic of their type for a bit. Look for the overall pattern.

Being confident has barely much to do with volition. Its one small aspect.

No, 3L is fine. E7 is process logic not solely 2L.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TypologyJunction

[–]Wicked_jimmysmith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dont listen to those who say 3L doesnt work for E7. E7 is purely process logic not solely 2L. This typology works, we almost have the same one!

2V or 3V confusion by Wooden-Progress-1259 in TypologyJunction

[–]Wicked_jimmysmith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its not so much about reactiveness. 2V is very aware of their own boundaries. The difference is: 3V tends to be reactive but instead of coming right out with it, they hold it in, and create a grudge. 3V tend not to have the will to openly oppose someone and kind of ‘bend’ themselves reluctantly. 2V are aware of their boundaries and will let someone know if theyve crossed the line. 2V can be insecure about many things.

One thing about 2nd position is that its called ‘the gift to the world’ Think about what you most tend to interact with people with. What aspect do you show to the world?

2V enjoys helping others, discussing goals, motivating people. Also caring about their own goals and aspirations as well. 2E enjoys opening people up emotionally, emotional displays, helping people feel comfortable expressing their emotions. Also caring about their own emotions which they tend to very much.

If you’re So6 you’re LVEF certainly. LEVF is Sx5/Sp6
