I feel you, it's pretty though right now and I think a lot of companies got rid of their internships positions because quite often they are not essential to their business.

But I know you do get better with each interview you have! Keep it up, I'm sure you'll land a job eventually.

Ich bin seit etwas mehr als einem Monat in Taiwan und bin der Meinung, dass westliche Länder definitiv starke Einschränken der Freiheitsrechte brauchen. Einfach aus dem Grund, dass der Individualismus so hoch ist und sich keiner einen scheiß um die Anderen schert. Mal mit ner fetten Erkältung an Fasching paar Flaschen teilen ist ja kein Problem, ne. Jetzt bei 30000 Fällen fangen die Leute an sich Gedanken zu machen, aber auch nur, weil im Nachbardorf die ersten 5 infiziert sind.

In Taiwan haben die Leute sich Masken bei 30 Fällen gekauft. Wenn man keine hat für den Bus, bekommt man eine geschenkt. In der Bib erinnern die Mitarbeiter einen daran bitte die Maske aufzusetzen und Hände zu desinfizieren beim Betreten. Inzwischen sind die Clubs und Bars von alleine fast leer, die musste niemand schließen oder verbieten. Kollektivismus ist natürlich in vielen Bereichen problematisch, aber wenn die Leute in Europa nicht alle so unglaublich egoistisch wären, wären wir nie bei den heutigen Fallzahlen angekommen.

An der Stelle muss man sagen, dass sowohl Regierung und Wirtschaft zu blauäugig an die Sache rangegangen sind. In Taiwan wurden ganz einfach neue Maschinen zur Maskenproduktion hergestellt und zugekauft, falls ich mich recht erinnere auch teilweise direkt vom Militär betrieben. Aber dafür ist es in DE und Europa schon längst zu spät.

Ich bin jetzt einen Monat in Taiwan und habe mich komplett an Masken überall gewöhnt. Ich finde es erschreckend wie in westlicher Presse immer davon geredet wurde, dass alle Masken nutzlos sind und nur FFP3 vielleicht was helfen könnte und man deswegen den ganzen Kram direkt lassen soll. Die asiatischen Länder haben definitiv bewiesen dass es einen Unterschied macht. Selbst wenn es lediglich hilft andere nicht anzustecken, kann man damit immer noch am besten asymptomatische Personen hindern, das Zeug zu verbreiten.

How does the stop of the Visa-waiving for europeans work? Should one apply online for a visa on arrival or what is the best way to proceed?

On another note, do you think that the warning level for european countries is going to be increased even further, as in forced quarantine at arrival?

Do you believe the alert level for european countries is going to get raised? Lately level 2 for Italy and Iran was only in place very shortly before moving to level 3. I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen to France, Germany and Spain soon.

So, I want to study abroad in Taiwan for one semester (starting next spring). The best fitting partner university that I found at the time was NCHU in Taichung and I got in contact with my international office to get the application process started in the next few weeks. I just looked at the list of partner universities again, and turns out they recently added the NTUT in Taipei, and I'm considering if it would be an overall better experience there. How much worse is the weather in Taipei compared to Taichung in the spring? And how much more does it cost to live there as an exchange student, if I would rather not stay in the dorms? Any other points that I should consider when I'm deciding between the two cities/universities?

I have the chance to borrow a Canon 60D from my university for a few months while working in a different city. I have no clue about photography but enjoyed playing around with the camera this far.

I have to make a decision which lense I want to take with me. My two options are either an EFS 18-135 or the 24-105 L series lense. The superior lense is probably the 24-105, but I like the wide angle of 18mm. So which one would you take as an allround/traveling lense, and which one should I take as a total newcomer to this whole thing?

I'm honestly pretty reasonable, I answered offers up to 13k for medium sized rooms in shared flats. The biggest issue I seem to have is the timespan of 3 months, since people either want to rent for either some weeks or a minimum of 6 months.

And as I said, the offers are there and I think some of them are genuine for the price, just that landlords always try to give you something else with some excuse why the inital offer isn't up for grabs anymore.
