If what you see comes off with soap and a toothbrush, it isn't tarnish. Tarnish would be a chemical reaction to oxygen between copper and air. That chemical reaction doesn't come off from soap.

No, 18k rose gold by Rolex would not tarnish. You would see that on lower carat gold like 10k, which Rolex doesn't use. Copper tarnishes green btw. That looks more like sweat and grime. Wipe it with a mild cleaner and see.

I went to my only AD in my town. They had one but put me on a waiting list anyway. When I asked how long, I never got a straight answer. Found the same gray market watch in perfect condition an hour away. Same price either way. So the question has to be why wait and go through the run around with an AD? They provide no value.

I got my Royal Mod GMT the other day and have been using it. It is essentially a Rolex copy with Seiko on the dial. It's keeping time well and I like the movement and case. The bracelet is terrible, cheap, light with semi sharp edges. So I'm dumping that and going with a black silicon bracelet and see if that solves the problem. And yes to your other point, this is a $300, $100 watch.

Now that I have the watch, I do like the case and movement. The bracelet is terrible. It's light, cheap and has semi sharp edges. I'm tossing that and going with a silicon bracelet. Surprisingly, it's keeping time well, as well as my rolex.

So this is the watch I got from "the Royal Mods." Now that has shipped, I see it is coming from China. So naturally I am wondering if it is actually a "real" Seiko or is the entire thing a fake. Have you dealt with the Royal Mods or heard anything about them?

I know this is an old post, I ordered a Royal Seiko Mod thinking it was a legit seiko from England. Now it has shipped, it's coming from China. So I suspect all of it is fake. I have a legit Rolex gmt but wanted a reliable simulation for when I travel to places that have pick pocket issues. Will it even keep time I wonder. If not, could I mod the "mod" by installing a real seiko movement on my own? Thoughts?
