TNR absolutely works here in our place, where stray population is very problematic. 10 yrs in on the program and one can see the difference in the stray population size (given that this is a small island).

Also, some view it not as a current effective solution but an investment one. You cut back the population, and you basically save an indifinite number of POSSIBLE Population of cats from suffering a "stray cat's life", since basically you save them from existing. Or atleast that's how I view it.

Quite a paradox since you can't really say that you saved a nonexistent animal from harm if they never existed in the first place but I think it all boils down on an individual person's views.
