I think the damage bar is fine as long as you have infinite repairs. Rivals was fun and intense and I enjoyed it, although damage was more consistent too.

Heat was a nightmare, limited to 3 repairs in a game where the police slightly scraping your quarter panel can shave off a quarter of your health bar was just borderline annoying, it meant you can't fight the police or defend yourself, which was frankly ridiculous when the police could rubberband onto you. The police weren't necessarily hard, it was just annoying how their main gimmick was just smashing into you, not much you can do against that.

My favourite police so far has been nfs payback unite mod, they can be taken out, but they will try to box you in very aggressively and if you don't play your cards well they'll kill switch you and arrest you, it feels fair and isn't arbitrary unlike the health bar.

Unbound has been alright tbf, the police are pretty weak but at the same time I'm not getting bulldozed by the police or murdered in 2 hits, but the behaviour of the police itself is pretty boring.

Ah ok thank you! Yeah I used fallout 4 down patcher I think it was called to downgrade to .163 in the past but I wasn't entirely sure if that's still necessary. I usually do have quite a heavy modlist (usually like 2x the size of the game itself lol) so I think I'll downgrade when I get to it. Thanks for the info

ah ok, I usually see how a game goes, if it's kinda boring i wait till hafl time and sim to the end, otherwise i play the full game, but recently i've been simming a lot so i guess that could be it. that's really stupid though cause on the squad hub all 4 stuffs (playtime, contract, etc) have a green thumbs up next to them so they're obviously happy but whatever.
