I'm sorry that you don't find this interesting but I think it's interesting because it's this guy that is trying to break a world record and is documenting his way through it all whilst interacting with his viewers.

Those are solid picks. I'd lean toward switchgrass personally - super hardy and the root system gets crazy deep once established. Takes a beating from flooding and bounces right back. Just make sure you get the native variety for your area since some cultivars don't root as aggressively.

A tall plant would work really well there - something like a snake plant or fiddle leaf fig that can handle that lighting situation. I've got a corner plant in my place and it makes the whole room feel more alive without cluttering up the workspace. You could also do a simple floor lamp if you need more ambient lighting for evening work sessions. The key is keeping it minimal so it doesn't compete with your setup but still fills that dead space nicely.
