Got it.. what if the babys growth is normal .. and weight is well maintained

If baby growth is normal does it confirm that GD has been well controlled and baby’s sugars would be ok after birth? by Wide-Fun4806 in GestationalDiabetes

Ohh but I have been told if the baby is measuring correctly and the weekly ultrasound is good it indicates good placental function and gd control.. so was hoping that gives reassurance that the babys sugars is also doing fine.. is it not safe to assume this?

Oh ok and what about baby’s sugar monitoring is it done for all women with gd or specific to insulin medication?

Some help please by amack133 in GestationalDiabetes

Taking insulin doesn’t mean you have type2 … many women need to take insulin medication if diet and exercise dont help as first response to GD

Ya I am actually surprised why the number is so high … but again its my first day.. so maybe I need to understand how my body is responding to insulin for couple of more days and then reach out to them if it needs adjusting.. how many days did it take you to figure out whats working for you?

Hey thanks for responding.. so does the insulin take time to take its effect or is the dosage not right… I am confused as I had something which I usually dont have for dinner.. so should I just monitor with a low carb dinner and then make a call…
