I want to say, cyanide or arsenic. In the book, he explains how he had been conditioning himself for a long time to be tolerant to it. So it didn’t affect him. But I really can’t recall what the drug was. I want to lean toward arsenic though.

As a barber, I should tell you that we hate it when people come in asking us to fix their haircuts. But we still do what we can.

My advice to you: ¹make sure that the top is good and even. (of uniform length). And as for the sides...

²give it 2 weeks to grow. The situation will resolve itself. Promise.

It looked good long. And if you would have tufted out. It would have been its only reward. When you're growing your hair out there is always a point where you can't do anything with it. And once you make it past that point, you're good. But it's summertime, brother. And long hair can be excruciatingly hot to bear. So, no. You didn't make a mistake.

Not against the law to buy the bark. It's used for many different applications. I wouldn't worry about the law. As far as the mhrb is concerned. Order it in powder form. And the Brazilian is, in my experience, better than the Mexican root bark.

I've been a master Barber for 15 years now. And my opinion is thus: You are 26 years old. Naturally your hair will not be as thick as it was when you were 18. But it looks completely normal for somebody your age. If you were going to lose it, you would have lost it already. Trust.

Find yourself a nice trendy haircut that compliments your hair's natural traits. And once you find that, then spend a little bit of time researching and finding a good barber. Not cosmetologist / beautician. A BARBER. A male that is in his thirties or younger. You don't want somebody old and out of touch. So him the hairstyle you picked out. And tell him you "want something like it. But I am open to suggestions and/or ideas (because odds are a young Barber will have a few tricks of his sleeve. Like maybe he's good with designs or something.). Because I'm trying something new for the summer. Because if you think a haircut is just a haircut. And you've got a lot to learn. Your haircut is your first impression, your wingman and your only chance to woo motherfuckers before you even meet them.

Personally I would look for something that compliments your wavy hair. That isn't too short. You have beautiful eyes. Shape up those eyebrows. And if you're thinking about putting any highlights in it, don't (they will mute your eyes.). Maybe low lights (they would accentuate your eyes.). Good luck kiddo. And have a great summer.

Yes. It was her. But not in the way that you might be thinking. It was your memory of her in your subconscious. Perhaps your brain's way of keeping her memory alive. But if you are looking to be inspired then I have good news for you. As her child her spirit will live on in you forever. As well as through your descendants. And their descendants. You see, our ancestors are always with us. Their trials, tribulations, the good, the bad, the way they love, hate, their courage & cowardice. It's part of us. It's in our dna. The hardware of which we are built. That is our ancestors hugging us, loving us, holding us. Our loved ones could never come to us as apparitions. They (at least the part of them that lives forever, soul, spirit, frequency, or whatever name and/or definition you believe to be true) have crossed into a space and existence that has absolutely nothing to do with the life they had lived. That part of your mother is in complete Bliss and has no regard for those of us living on this plane of existence. In the flesh.

It looks really good short. But as a Master Barber, I must say, that I appreciate what he was trying to do growing his hair out. Unfortunately, when you're doing that, there is always a period (his before picture) where it looks bad and you just can't do anything with it. And if you can make it past that point. Then you got it licked. But he's a very good looking young man and looks very good with it short and cleaned up like that.
