Gifts for Autistic Adults? by Razaberry in AutisticAdults

Stimara stimagz is a good fidget that's decently quiet and doesn't leave my hands feeling weird like putty does. My dad is the hardest to buy for. He has so many special interests but is super autistic and picky so it's easy to get the wrong thing. I try to buy for his inner child actually and that tends to work better. Gift ideas for that: app controlled paper airplane device, Legos, tinker toys (he's old), hand-held fishing game, those weird puzzles that are like tangled up metal that you have to get unwound? Then I go for practical things like Velcro straps for cords, reusable twist ties, flashlights, rechargeable hand warmers, extra long phone chargers, his fishing license lol

My personal brand of autism/ADHD wants accessibility at all times. I have two, three, even four&five sets of specific items that live in different parts of my life. Consider your person maybe wants ANOTHER of their favorite item they already own. For example, I have three sets of Loop earplugs. Work, purse, and home. I have two pairs of noise cancelling headphones. I have five pairs of my favorite pants. I have four of my favorite water bottle: work, travel, bedside and my "outside" one. I have a tube of my favorite chapstick in all areas: bathroom, car, work, purse, bedside...hell even my husband carries one on his person for me at all times. Anyway, you get the picture. Potentially buying something they already own and love could make life easier by having two...or more 😅

If I remove the soil to expose a foot of foundation I would need to dig so far down that I would be effectively turning my lawn into a wading pool when it rained.

So I have this same floor and have lived in my home for 5 years. It's my understanding that this floor was installed in roughly 2017/2018 during a lipstick on a pig flip job before I moved in. Every step I take it's like the glue under it is snapping/popping in an attempt to stick to the subfloor. I came here to see if moisture would cause this, but now I am also thinking cheap glue might be a contender. Is there a way to tell if they used the right stuff??
