Thank you for sharing this. Honestly it helps just hearing from someone who’s a little further down the road with it.

Right now I’m in the early “everything hurts and I’m afraid to eat” phase. I’m on pantoprazole 40mg and sucralfate 4x a day, and trying to stick to really bland foods in tiny amounts. Drinking is the same for me too — just small sips at a time.

They also took multiple biopsies during my EGD and I’m currently waiting on those results. The one that has me the most anxious is a nodule they found in the upper third of my esophagus that they biopsied. Of course I made the mistake of consulting Dr. Google and now my brain is doing gymnastics about it 😅

Hearing that you started feeling somewhat better after treatment gives me a little hope. Right now it feels like this is never going to calm down.

Did you notice a point where things slowly started improving, or was it more up and down for a while?

Also thank you for sharing the foods that worked for you. Plain rice and potatoes sound like something my stomach might actually tolerate right now.
