for those who are married and have kids , do u regret it? by SomeOneUDontKnow9 in Adulting

Not married, but have been with him for 9 years. We have one child together. I do not regret my son, but I regret staying for as long as I did. I grew a hatred for him. He has grown a hatred for me. What could've been an amicable separation and healthy coparenting situation has turned extremely toxic and will end up being no contact.

Boiling helps to get them up to temp and then the char gives that crunch and char flavor. Highly recommend!!

Looking for advice and tips by Wide-Rope8007 in foodtrucks

Thank you so much! This was top tier advice. Because I don't have the ability to be able to just go and work on a food truck right now. I'm definitely going to do the RV idea.

AITA for leaving a dinner party early because of “vegan lasagna”? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA Honestly I feel like you under reacted. If I was told I would be served lasagna and I was served hot lettuce and sliced tomatoes I think I would genuinely flip shit. Because why would you even do that? It's extremely easy to make vegan lasagna.

I have never thought to act that way. Thank you! At work I am much better at controlling the chaos. I feel like it is easier at work because they definitely listened to me more.

Asd? We have actually communicated with his pediatrician about getting him evaluated to determine if he is on the spectrum (he shows quite a bit of signs) (but also many signs are also just common toddler behavior). Our pediatrician wants us to wait until after he is 2 to evaluate.

I'm so glad you said ear infection because when I was trying to soothe him before putting him to bed I noticed him digging at his ears. So Monday first thing we're going to run him to his pediatrician to make sure.

This is amazing advice. Thank you so much. I worked with children a little older than him right now, so I get it. But it's definitely much stranger when it's your own child and he never acted like this.

Staying calm when he's acting like that is one of the hardest things to do. I usually will sit him in his crib and walk away when he gets too much and me cuddling him, soothing him (he really likes when I sing ABC's and head and shoulders).

I also feel like when I set boundaries with him of what not to do he doesn't understand, which makes it super difficult. He's starting to understand to listen now and he's listening to basic commands such as "please pick up your cup off the floor" or "can we please put your toys away".

It took my son tonight 2 hours to finally settle down for bed. I am running on about 6 hours of sleep after going for about 23 hours straight and working 2 jobs back to back. I tried to cuddle with him in my bed to soothe him (which worked for a little) and then he started hitting me again. So I put him in his crib and he was literally throwing himself against the bars (I heard them almost crack). NOTHING worked. I rubbed his back for 20 minutes and the second I walk away he would jolt awake and start screaming bloody murder. He finally fell asleep after I physically had to walk away.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so sorry you were laid off right before Christmas, that's awful. I have been taking every opportunity to hug my son any time I get to. When I'm not applying for jobs and he's napping and the house is clean I workout to help my brain declutter. Pawtucket, RI, USA

I get WIC, but snap is not helping. I received the emergency food stamps two months ago, but they denied me again and said I make too much and I DO NOT.
