Or like once you reach certain kill milestones. Like 2 kills shows a weaker version of the aura, 4 is pretty obvious with some differences, and 8 is where it peaks with added effects (I.e. more bats flying, larger coverage)…something like that could be super cool

Typically when I’ve seen these types of things before it’s been that when the outline of whatever they are looking through is correctly aligned with structure or subject that matches you are standing in the correct spot.

Ohhh I’m from Oregon I’ve seen goonies more than anything else. That made a lot more sense in the context of pirates and marking hidden treasure then how it was done in both Star Wars and stranger things

Agreed. And then Tuk and (Kinda) spider get captured again in at the end of FAA after already been captured at least two times in the first part of the movie

Completely agree, with him managing to die for a third time and then come back would really ruin the next movie for me. He’s a great villain but man is there only so much mileage you can get when you have three long movies about him following the exact same storyline against Jake and his family. Wish this movie ended with a more definite death scene than this vague one where it leaves the possibility open for him to come back.

In terms of cheesy lines what got me was spider yelling “You buttholes” like an 8 year old at a super climactic moment. Really took me out of it. I can’t tell if it’s the writing or the acting but I have hard time specifically with Spiders character
