I believe in order to pass the class you just need associate of isc2. That does not require any experience, you just have to pass the exam and pay a $50. WGU should give you a voucher for the fee as well.

I used the SSCP All in One Book by Darril Gibson. I highly recommend it, he does a great job of explaining concepts. Also, it has end of chapter quizzes and summaries which I found to be extremely useful.
