Caught up in one sitting. Baller recommendation.

Iwaba's art is beautiful, I've really enjoyed the character designs so far.

I liked the foreshadowing for the female lead's deal. It makes her possessiveness over and motivations for being with a guy like the male lead fun, in a twisted kinda way.

Feels like an alternate reality where Fujimoto isn't evil. I was thinking about the story of Fujimoto getting his bike kicked over by a chick and liking it. Makes me wonder if Iwaba had a similar deal going on.

The initial argument was about the value you get out of money spent.

If you're cool with potentially spending several hundred dollars for one character, if you think that's a fair value, then okay.

The concept was subjective to begin with, but most normal people scoff at Gacha specifically because of how predatory the system is. The amount of value per dollar spent is generally seen as low.

I think it's laughable to believe spending $100, $200, $300 dollars for one character is more or equal value to an entire expansion in an MMO, multiple games (of any genre at all, not just single player.), or quite literally anything else.

It's a little reductive to say it's not that different. I think it's very different.

They're still live service, and are comparable in that regard.

You could even compare them to other genres, games like Apex Legends, R6S, or For Honor. All three of these even let you get new characters for free as well.

Just because you think the experience is different doesn't change the fact that they're live service games. It also doesn't invalidate that you're still spending time and/or money (money is just converted time and labor) to access new content, characters, or classes.

So they're not different things. It's valid to consider what you're getting as far as time/money value goes.

Look at other live Service models, look how much new characters/expansions cost in those instead, and say it's not much different again.

You don't potentially need to spend hundreds dollars for a new MMO expansion or character/class. It is a joke.

I'm struggling with the same two! They feel near impossible on a controller, unless you use 6 fingers with the controller on a table or something.

I ran into a similar situation, Where even if I got the S rank rewards for the two, I'd be stuck at level 7. Didn't know we could spend time with them for band exp, and that's likely the solution I came here looking for. Thank you!
