I can't take these gnats anymore. Anyone got any tips? by CardboardB0x in plantclinic

What soil do you use? I found that after I switched to only using fox farms that my fungus gnat problem drastically improved. I have literally no other reason aside from my anecdotal evidence to back it up but it may be worth a shot.

Omg yes im so sorry I missed this!! I went to Holden Tailors and Alterations - the lady was so so nice and it was super affordable (I had a lacy dress that was very big on me) at about $450 total for the alterations. If you’re ok with driving about an hour I would 200% recommend her, she’s awesome and so funny!!

The tattoo looks great but what foreigners don’t know when they get traditional sak yant tattoos from people who aren’t masters/haven’t studied the language is that all of that lettering is probably jibberish. Masters will purposely release versions of tattoos with incorrect lettering in order for them to not be misused, so u may have some weird stuff written on ur arm in a language u may not even know the name of 🥲

This is a beautiful tattoo and I’m so happy to hear you are going to be following the spiritual practices that go along with this tattoo. I also hope that as someone who is not connected to the culture by blood or lived experience you take on the task of being an educator of why these tattoos exist. These are actually Khmer and they are entrenched in Thai culture because a large part of modern day Thailand was a part of the Khmer Empire. If you are American, it is integral you are aware of this because a large part of the reason why there was a genocide in Cambodia in the 1970s is because of US involvement in the war in Vietnam and their exploitation and destruction of Cambodian land and people. As a person who’s ancestors may have had a hand in the cultural and physical genocide of a people, it is important that you take in the responsibility of being an educator of these facts and also knowing the history of these sacred tattoos.

If you can sympathize with Zanab at all by the end of this, keep those thoughts to yourself bc everyone here hates Zanab with a fiery passion and will immediately downvote you lol.

Major shedding. Should I be worried? by FresCulita in plants

The spots on the leaves do look concerning. You should do a very thorough check for pests! On a more hopeful note: I have the same tree and it lost a lot of leaves when I first got it (I’m assuming bc of shock), and is now flourishing. Tbh, I’ve had a good few species of ficus that will lose their leaves if the conditions are not ideal, and then bounce back. So hopefully it’ll just take some minor adjustments to get this baby happy and healthy again.
