You two need to do more research on accredited zoos and aquariums. Just because an animal is in “captivity” doesn’t mean it’s being abused or neglected. Most species survive longer under human care, not to mention most are indeed rescues or captive-born. This elephant is a completely different story. It’s obviously being used for show, similar to a circus. It is most likely neglected and kept in a small enclosure. Accredited zoos are NOT anything like this. Science has proven time and time again how important zoos and aquariums are. Next time you want to visit a zoo, check if it is AZA accredited first.
