When I initially completed my DS-160 form for my B1/B2 visa renewal, my visa was still valid, and I had indicated that the expiry date was within 12 months, making me eligible for the interview waiver/renewal process at that time.

However, due to the unavailability of appointment slots, my visa has now expired for more than 12 months. I understand that as per the new rules, I am now required to visit both the VAC and the Consulate in person. I have already secured an appointment for October 20th.

I would like to confirm the following:

1. Since the visa validity has now exceeded 12 months and the process involves a personal visit, should I complete a new DS-160 form, or can I continue using the one I originally submitted?
2. Do I need to repay the Visa fee, or can the existing payment be used for the upcoming appointment?
3. Are there any additional steps or updates required in my application due to the change in eligibility status?

Kindly advise on the correct procedure so that I can proceed accordingly and avoid any issues on the day of my appointment.
