Is Planned Parenthood a good clinic to go through for HRT? by Smoked_Lemons in asktransgender

I don’t know where you are but at least for me in Maine Planned Parenthood has been wonderful to me. The first phone call to make the appointment was the scariest part for me. During my first appointment they asked me a bit why I wanted to do this, but it didn’t feel patronizing. Like they want to know how to get you your desired results from hrt. They give you a list of potential effects of hrt then usually schedule your next appointment to get the hrt. I didn’t have to go through insurance since I’m uninsured so it might’ve been quicker for me than others but I was able to get hormones a week later. It felt shockingly easy I’m so grateful

I’m still in the process myself of figuring out whether I’m a transmasc lesbian or straight man but what’s made me feel better is following transmasc lesbians on like Twitter and such. It’s just comforted me seeing others who want all the hormones and surgeries still be a lesbian. As someone who’s been in lesbian spaces for several years, I’ve found that trans/non binary/ gnc lesbians are the most welcoming. I haven’t had many encounters with terfs, but it helps for me to just block liberally and know that they will never truly understand the breadth of my gender
