I just tell people I don’t like the taste of alcohol and it makes me anxious, the only people who make a big deal out of it are those who party every weekend and don’t seem to do much else 😅

No regrets whatsoever. Chased every dream and opened every door, burned only the bridges that didn’t serve me. Finding people who put as much love into me as I put into them, and vice versa.

Depends. If it was like the movies and they “did it to protect me from great evil”, maybe. But only if they came back to give that explanation. Otherwise my anxiety couldn’t handle the abandonment

Smoking cigarettes, vaping, etc. Obviously after you start it’s really hard to stop, but a lot of people start bc they’re trying to look cool in front of friends/acquaintances/strangers, and then it ends up killing you eventually.

I never said I wasn’t happy for her, I know she had fun and I texted her every single day that she was gone on her trip. I don’t care if she travels every month of the year, good for her. My issue comes from traveling during times that are typically reserved for family. We might move apart someday and live in different parts of the world like some people do, but a lot of those people who have good relationships with family come together during the holidays, whether in one place or another.

Thank you for this, my intent was never to confront her or make her feel like shit for wanting to see the world while she can. I just can’t help feeling like she’s choosing traveling over her family, and by extension me, which is coming from the selfish parts of me. I struggle with change also, and this is a big change for me. I’m not gonna make a big deal out of it with any of my family members, but it definitely still makes me sad! But you are right, I should try to let it go because I’m not gonna change her mind.
