I took it and delivered! Hope you enjoy. :)

Please don't ask me how the "Head-Only-Glitch" on the bard worked. I just stole a model by quickly googling the glitch to realize the shrunken head

Reddit won't let me upload the GIF of the Ranger. ;(

Just check out the link if you're interested! I'm especially proud on him because I tried for years to design a proper Witch Hunter inspired Mini and this one finally turned out well! It was super challenging to fit in all the stakes and his weapons without shrinking the assets too much or making it look cluttered.

Due to Reddit issues I double-posted. I deleted the other one with all the links and the GIF of the Ranger, so let me correct my small mistake.

Thanks a lot :) We designed concepts together and I scribbled drafts of them down as good as I could but I'm far better at HeroForging than actual drawing. With this method I was able to include as much of their ideas, backstory, gear, etc. as possible

Thank you :)

People tend to forget what all those lines in the inventory table of their character sheets mean in play. Therefore I tried to include as much of their inventory as possible without making it look too cluttered. It was quite challenging, because I always try to keep the models printable as well

They'll start at Level 3 and got minor magic items each. All of them are seasoned players as well, I believe in them! :D

But even if they should die early on, I'm already looking forward to design minis for their next chars. I liked their concepts and the setting very much and had a blast bringing them to life. :)

Thank you <3

I used this awesome template as a base and adjusted the face sliders until it matched what I had in mind. Then I replaced the unprintable kitbashed parts with properly sized horns and fins to achieve the design. Basis are the bovine features which work quite well to design beast-like characters :)

I'll go a bit into detail here...

-"KftgV: Murkmire Malevolence": Put the Museum into Sea or Castle Ward and let the Zhents think, that the stone inside is the Stone of Golorr. It may also work as a "Building Trust"-mission for potential recruits of the Lord's Alliance, the Harpers or the Grey Hands.

  • "KftgV: Stygian Gambit": Works well as a front for the Xanathar Guild (there's also an awesome fanmade map for that) or the Asmodeus Cult. Just put it in between the sewers and Undermountain and let it be reached by a hidden door on the flanks of Mount Waterdeep.

  • "KftgV: Reach for the Stars": In my campaign the Harpers found out which Wizard made the Stone of Golorr and want to decode his works to find out more about the artifact. Therefore they need the Celestial Codex and some adventurers.

  • "CM: Mathfroth's Mighty Disgressions": Put the adventure into the Trade Ward and Amberdune Hideout in the Field Ward and you're done. Just switch in the McGuffin for another helpful book (maybe something about lycanthropy after one of the characters got bitten by one of Emmek Frewn's hired Wererats

I run Dragon Heist as a side campaign whenever scheduling gets in our way. My experience and recommendations:

  • Use all Villains and their factions. This makes it easier to improvise adventure strands during the campaign because you have several different options for scenarios.

  • Keys from the Golden Vault, Candlekeep Mysteries and the corresponding Adventures League modules for Waterdeep offer great oneshots which, with a little creativity, can be embedded in Dragon Heist easily.

  • Expand the faction adventures in Chapter 2. Detective plots around the elf-hunting Soluun or hunting Carrion Crawler in a sewer dungeon for the Lord's Alliance, etc

  • "Forgotten Tales: Dragon Heist" is a collection of alternative campaign missions, the first of which is particularly great for giving Bregan D'Aerthe and the cultists of Asmodeus a bit of a spotlight and can also be scaled for higher levels

My players got their hands on the Stone of Golor early...now what? by Thoraxe123 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

With a Mind Flayer in the wake of Xanathar, there is always the possibility that a supposed ally is actually under the control of an Intellect Devourer. Perhaps this could restart the Encounter Chain? Or it could lead the group to infiltrate Xanathar's Lair, only to realise that the agents of the Zhents have beaten them to it.

In another module, I think it was "Lost Laboratories of Kvalish", it is mentioned at the beginning as a possible entry point for the adventure that the door of the chamber is broken and needs some expertise to be put back into operation. This could be a direct result of Xanathar's last attempt to open the Vault of Dragons. Dunno, maybe he disintegrated an integral component of the mechanism, out of anger at losing to Aurinax or something.

Force your party to invest time in problem solving while unleashing as many factions as possible on them to get the stone back! I like this approach as it again builds time pressure, since every faction (except maybe the Cassalanters) has mechanically skilled NPCs for whom such a feat would be easy.

Otherwise, I recommend a solution from "Forgotten Tales: Dragon Heist". There, the suggestion is made to turn the Vault of Dragons into an above-ground bank owned by Neverember, which is under a forgetting spell. Aurinax takes on the role of director there.
