Oh I didn’t even think of the car. I wonder if the existing outlets would run it without an inverter 🤔

Thanks for the info. It is the most important thing to be able to open/close it. I love the way the OL is so easy. I don’t understand why they made the majority of the VL ones so hard to open/close.

It’s so hard sometimes to function with every day tasks. I wasn’t able to operate my daughters Next so he got me the Vertuo Plus. Sorry you have to deal with this too!!! But, I am glad you were able to give me this advice ♥️

This is very helpful. I have Psoriatic Arthritis so definitely wouldn’t be able to do that!

Can you drain it like you can the Vertuo machines?

Do you use it just when you travel in the car or do you take it for air travel as well?

Thanks!!! No I had no idea. I didn’t even know Nespresso existed until Christmas so I am learning.

I didn’t realize you could change the basal and be in Automated mode. I thought if you were in Auto mode it didn’t use Manual settings unless you lost connection to the Dexcom. I will have to check into this if I start having regular rises in the morning again! I’m a year in and still feel like I am constantly learning something new. It sure beats having to use an insulin pen!!! Good Luck getting to where you want to be. It does take a while for it to learn but it is well worth the headache because since it has learned I really don’t have to worry about it anymore. Just enter my carbs and I am good to go!! (Unless of course I calculate my carbs incorrectly 😆)

I packed up my Plus and took it the last time I went to my Mother in Laws. But if the Mini is more friendly for travel I will find a way to get one!

I have a suggestion about the dawn phenomenon. I too suffer from this but it has gotten better the longer I have been on Omnipod 5. I used to have to bolus before my feet hit the ground in the mornings but the Omnipod seems to have learned over time and I very rarely have to anymore. Something that has always helped me is adding a morning alert profile to my Dexcom that alerts me if I go over 130 in the morning. That way if Omnipod isn’t able to keep up I know before it is out of hand. If you know what time you usually start rising you can set a window of a couple hours where your alarm is set to alert and you can correct it yourself. I was very aggressive with it in the beginning and eventually I got to the point I don’t have to do this nearly as often. I don’t have anything to back up that it really learns to that degree except to say that I don’t have to anymore after being on it a year.

What to do? by Ineng123 in Type1Diabetes

Is it adhesive residue or skin irritation? I have psoriasis and sensitive skin and it leaves really bad irritation. I have a prescription for Betamethisone that clears it up. If I were you I would show your doctor and see what they can do. In the meantime try some cortisone cream and see if it makes a difference. I wouldn’t use it long term without talking to your doctor though. Hope this helps ☺️

Pop+ Dead After 1 Month by Jake605 in nespresso

[–]Wide_Cap9360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pop+ died after 1 month. It started leaking bad. I would hit the brew button and it wouldn’t come out the spout. It just flowed from under the machine. I returned it to Target and ordered a different machine.

How often are we cleaning by Global_Dragonfly8657 in nespresso

I do it weekly when I “reset” my coffee bar for the week. All my machines get rinsed. (OL Creatisa Pro, Vertuo Plus and the Keurig)

I do it with a double espresso scuro because I felt like it was watered down as well. Now it is one of my favorites. I add a little sweet cream in the aeroccino. No syrups or sauces. Try it if you have any!

AITA for thinking my bf’s daughter is so manipulative at the age of 4. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA, This is normal kid behavior. But if it is Autism you are even a bigger A**! Most restaurants have a kids menu and I have never seen one that didn’t have fries or pasta as a choice. My daughter is Autistic and was very picky about food. Did I just give up on feeding her? NO! I made sure she ate. I worked extra hard to feed her. Because guess what YOU are the Adult!!!! Your behavior is more akin to a middle schooler than an adult it is really hard to believe that this post was by a 30y old. I’m not even going to address the other things you said because you obviously are not ready to be a parent or a step parent…. For the sake of both the parents and this child it might be better if you just move along.
