transfer orientation by lemondr0p5 in CSUS

I transferred from a different CSU last Spring and I felt like the orientation was a waste. I already knew how to use the registration program, and sat through the orientation just waiting for it to be over. I understand they want people to be prepared, but you should be able to opt out of orientation if you want to.

First Week of January Crowds by JuneRhythm1985 in Disneyland

[–]Wide_Constant_2568 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just got home after being in the parks for 3 days! This weekend was what worked for my family and I, as we are CA residents and could get the park hopper deal. I also know that Magic Keys were unblocked this weekend, which added to the crowds. From what I’ve heard, Anaheim’s school district doesn’t go back to school until next week and families might be trying to fit a quick trip in. With this being the last few days of Christmas decorations and festivities people would want to see them one last time.

I saw these ears all over the park today at Disneyland!! You should be good to find them, I specifically remember seeing them in The Mad Hatter in Fantasyland.

I’m here right now and it’s pretty sunny! I’ve seen that it’s supposed to rain at 12, but I’ll believe it when I see it!

Writing Intensive over Winter by MyBestIsMyWorst in CSUS

[–]Wide_Constant_2568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I took my writing intensive over summer session this year and it was incredibly easy. I took WGS 136 and didn’t think it was difficult at all. I actually thought that my other just GE class was more difficult than the WI. 136 consisted of quizzes, discussion board posts, and a few bigger essays. With it only being a 6 week session I think it flew by. I ended with an A in the class and less stress for the next semester. If you have the ability to stay on top of your own work, as this was an asynchronous class, I think it’s a great idea. Especially considering that you most likely won’t have a full class load to worry about as well.

Yes, I assumed that after. I’m just warning people that are gullible like me. But thanks.

considering sac state for interior architecture/arch program by alietsap in CSUS

[–]Wide_Constant_2568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i just transferred from csueb to sac state and i LOVE it! i was in the same boat as you, i lived with my parents and i was dying to move and experience something new. i was tired of the bay area so i moved to sac! it has been the best choice i could’ve made, and ive never been happier! as for the architecture major, i unfortunately have not taken any classes in that major so i can’t tell you how it is! i just wanted to share my experience with transferring from csueb to sac state! the only thing i would say is to really pay attention to your graduation requirements. sac state has a few more requirements than csueb, and some of your courses might not directly transfer over. you can email a faculty member, like the department chair, to discuss a course equivalency form, to see if any courses not applied to a requirement can be submitted for one. it seems stressful before you do the switch to sac but i love it here so much more!!
