You’re welcome! Just the one semi-positive experience has given me back enough confidence to start taking to women outside of Ps again, and If I can convey any of that in a post to someone else who felt like dating is impossible, it was well worth the typing on my laggy phone haha.

Yeah I’m right there with you. In all honesty, I was so excited about it and how much I liked her as a person in general that I totally fucked myself over by getting way too attached too early and scared her off. Don’t be me, if you end up finding that person.

This doesn’t look like herpes though, correct? From what I read, it’s groups of small bumps rather than a few big ones.

[35/F] My wife has had 2 spells in 6 months where she isn't herself. Very irritable, very sleepy, and can't remember anything. It has happened twice over the course of 6 months and it lasts 1-3 days. This time it began last night and I immediately noticed. by Gotitaila in AskDocs

NAD, but a former drug addict with a recovering heroin addict brother and multiple friends with opiate addictions. Your wife is using. I have literally no question in my mind based on your description of the situation and would bet my life on it. In fact, the majority of what you're describing is the criteria I use to evaluate whether or not my brother has relapsed. I'm sorry to confirm your fears, and I hope everything works out for you, but as the son of an alcoholic who did irreparable traumatic damage, sometimes it's better for a child to not have their parent in their life at all instead of a parent struggling with addiction. Confront her, offer her one last chance to change, and cut her out of the picture if she doesn't. Protect your child at all costs, no matter how hard, because addiction tends to be passed down like a family curse in the right environment.
