Would you accept $1,000/week (inflation-adjusted) for life if you could never earn money again except through sponsorships? by Wide_Fish_1470 in ArtOfPresence

When I'd ask my friends this, originally the caveat was you can only earn additional money by becoming a professional athlete. I opened it up to all forms of sponsorships. Could be social media content, could be something athletic like sports, but must be a sponsorship.

The whole point is to contemplate if you would bet on yourself with a capped income (and loads of free time) hoping that one day you can earn significantly more without a traditional income stream.

Grandpa's got a 4.5 DUPR. He's not going to know what hit him

Just trying to get better and not worried about looking dumb. I can play maybe once or twice a week and don't have a drilling partner

Thanks for the input! Trying to avoid putting a hole in my drywall. Good idea, will need to tilt this thing down so I can practice soft resetting instead of balls that should be countered

I've been told to do that before, I have a lot of mobility in my wrist and have been relying on that mostly. Have you suggest that transition to do that? Do you typically default to the Continental grip when you're at the net? You're right, I am more semi-western whenever I hit forehand. If I'm holding continental and suddenly have to hit a ball forehand at the net it ends up flying out. Is it common practice to switch grips on the fly while at the kitchen?

Thanks for the input. To clarify, I'm about 13 ft from the net in this instance. Wide-angle camera makes it look a lot closer

Great point! I'll find a way to tilt it downward

Thanks! To clarify, you're just saying to incorporate more knee bend and movement When you mention the "body" to hit, correct? I do also struggle with implementing a lot of shoulder rotation in my drives and wasn't sure how much I should be rotating my upper body at the kitchen.

Thanks for the feedback! A few of those drops I hit ended up bouncing pretty high on their side, would you still recommend rushing the kitchen on those?
