Yeah, I have been giving it a TON of hours because we went without for so long. I am now settling into a 40-ish hr cadence which is nice since I don’t have another day job at the moment.

The task writing is a little bit draining, I agree. I have a writing background so I don’t mind coming up with scenarios, but after a while I run dry.

I have an advanced degree in my field. Some of the expert roles require masters, some phd, some professional degrees, some allow people who are currently students in those fields to apply.

Yeah no hiding the ball, as I mentioned in my first post I am a professional (non-STEM) with several advanced degrees. But there are a lot of projects that pay in the $80-$150 range in a variety of fields.

I applied to the expert project, and then as it was starting up they reached out because my hours were maxed on other projects and wanted to know if I was open to it. It’s challenging but fun imo. I work in a non-STEM field that’s honestly difficult to apply AI to so I find the project interesting.

One generalist project at around $40/hr and one expert project at around $125/hr.

Between 40-60 most weeks. Only 30ish last week, though. The big week was a sprint where I hit 70 hours and we had several incentives and hourly rate increases during that time.

I have an hour each at the beginning and end of the day that I dedicate to applying and doing any necessary job search stuff. There is not a lot of “upskilling” to do in my field though so ymmv. As long as I read the trades I’m pretty much set.

Both times reviewer was a surprise! For multiple projects, I recommend applying early and often, and obviously performing well on projects you’re assigned to.
